Jen: Hi. I'm --

Woman (Marcie): Jen Rappaport. I know.

Jen: Do I know you?

Woman (Marcie): No, but I know you. You're just about the prettiest girl in school.

Jen: Thanks, but --

Woman (Marcie): You totally deserved to win that modeling contest.

Jen: I'm here for an appointment.

Woman (Marcie): Oh, well, Dr. Conklin's running a little late.

Jen: I'll just wait over here.

Woman (Marcie): Great. Cool.

***************

[Phone rings]

Gabrielle: Hello?

Jen: I'm calling to follow up on our little talk. Are you going to keep Al away from me?

Gabrielle: Yes. Yes. He will not interfere with you or your wedding, I promise.

Jen: He better not because I would hate to have to tell the police what he did.

*************

Al: Well, I'm here. So, what's the big emergency? What's this?

Gabrielle: That's your ticket out of town.

***********

Roxy: I've been keeping something from you.

Max: What now?

Roxy: Uh --

Max: Come on, come on. Jeez. Out with it. Come on. Spit it out.

Roxy's voice: Jessica ain't really my kid. She's stolen goods, if you know what i mean.

Max: Hey, hey! Ain't got all day.

Roxy: I saw Luna.

******************

Gabrielle: As you can see, I've arranged for you to spend some time with Frank and Leslie down in North Carolina.

Al: You what?

Gabrielle: Max says that they miss you terribly, and since he hasn't had a chance to get --

Al: No, mom. No way.

Gabrielle: You need a break, and I think now is a good time. Don't you?

Al: No.

Gabrielle: There's your ticket, and there's enough money in there to see u through the whole time with a little bit extra just in case.

Al: Look, take this back. I know what you're trying to do, ok? You want me to be out of town until after Cristian and Jen get married.

Gabrielle: Yes, i do, and I'm not the only one who wants you out of town.

Al: I know jen wants me out of here.

Gabrielle: Yes, she does, and she's made that very clear to me.

Al: I am not going to bother Cristian and Jen, ok? I don't want to see them any more than they want to see me. But that doesn't mean that I have to leave town.

Gabrielle: I know you believe that, but --

Al: It's the truth.

Gabrielle: Where Jen is concerned, you and i both know that your truth changes from time to time.

Al: What's that supposed to mean?

Gabrielle: It means when your emotions take over, you do things that are extremely unwise.

Al: Nothing like that fire is ever going to happen again.

Gabrielle: Good. But do you realize that she is threatening to go to the police and press charges if you come anywhere near her?

Al: Come on, mom. You know Jen. She talks big, but she's not going to turn me in to the cops.

Gabrielle: This girl's very serious. She wouldn't think twice about calling up Bo, telling him that you are the one who started the fire, and then pressing charges.

Al: Does this really have anything to do with me, or is this about you trying to save your relationship with Bo?

Jen: What are you doing here?

Cristian: I remembered you had a doctor's appointment.

Jen: How'd you know?

Cristian: I called the office.

Jen: Why?

Cristian: Well, I had a few questions for the doctor.

Jen: Like what?

Cristian: Dad stuff -- you know, what to expect, if there was anything I can do to help. Look, Jen, I want to be here for the whole thing.

Jen: That's sweet.

Cristian: So, are you mad?

Jen: No. Well, I read a book about the fact that pregnant women get a little moody and volatile.

Cristian: Hmm.

Jen: I hope you can deal with me being cranky for the next few months.

Cristian: Sure. Whatever it takes.

Jen: I'll make it up to you, I promise. After all, we're going to have the rest of our lives to spend together.

Cristian: So, when is the doctor going to see us?

Jen: "Us"?

Cristian: Well, yeah. I want to go in with you.

Jen: No, you can't.

Gabrielle: As much as I cherish Bo, I would sacrifice my relationship with him for you in a heartbeat. Now, I cannot protect you against Jen. If she goes to the police and presses charges, you will go to prison.

Al: So, what do I do?

Gabrielle: You take this ticket and you go and visit your little brother and sister.

Al: Why? Because Jen wants me to?

Gabrielle: No! Because I won't rest until you put as much space between you and Jen as you can.

Al: I just -- I don't get it. Now, why is she being so cold? You know, how can she be so cold? And especially after we just --

Gabrielle: After you just what?

Al: Nothing. Never mind. It's not important. Look, Jen and I were friends. But we were -- we were more than friends.

Gabrielle: Well, I'm very glad you didn't end up with her because there's -- there's just something not quite right about that girl.

***************

Jen: Dr. Conklin had an emergency delivery. Who knows when she'll be back. And you remember what happened last time. It could be hours.

Cristian: So I'll hang with you.

Jen: What about your classes?

Cristian: I'll get the notes. Look, Jen, I want to be part of this from the very start.

Jen: I don't want you getting behind in your classes.

Cristian: Hey, you let me do my own worrying, ok? You know, when you first told me that you were pregnant, I was kind of a jerk. And now that I've committed to this, to us, I want to do it right.

Jen: What do you mean?

Cristian: I want us to have a real marriage, to bring this baby into the world together, 100%.

Jen: This is just a boring checkup. I don't want you seeing me like that. It's embarrassing.

Cristian: Jen, what do you think it's going to be like in the delivery room?

Jen: Not yet, ok? It's weird enough. I don't want you there watching me.

Cristian: Ok, then I値l wait for you outside.

Jen: No. Go to class. I'll take you with me to the sonogram, i promise.

Cristian: All right. Oh -- don't forget to ask the due date, you know, so we can start planning.

Jen: Yeah. I can't wait.

Jen: I need to see a calendar, quick.

****************

Max: Luna's dead.

Roxy: I know. She told me.

Max: What is this, some kind of sick joke?

Roxy: No, it's not a joke. I know that Luna loved you and you loved her back -- a lot.

Max: I don't want to ever hear you say her name again. You got that? Because there is no way you could understand who she was! You're not even in the same league with her!

Roxy: Ok, all right. Ok. Before you blow, i want you to look at something.

Max: What is it?

Roxy: It's a tape.

Max: I can see that!

Roxy: It's from her. She said you'd find it when you really needed help. See, but I found it first because I really needed help. It's kind of like -- i don't know -- like I知 some kind of instrument, you know, some kind of psychic delivery person or something.

Max: Where did you find this?

Roxy: In the coffee table. It's a trunk. But, of course, you know it's a trunk. But I think, you know, what you don't know is that there's a secret compartment here. Here. There's a bunch of tapes. You know, she's really good. I mean, she's better than one of those psychic friends on television. You know, she did me a big favor.

Max: So you're saying Luna came back from the dead to give you advice?

Roxy: You know all that stuff i said about legs? I mean al. That was from her. I'm going to go upstairs for a while. I'm going to put the late, great Wally away.

Luna: Max, darling, if you're watching this, well, I must've gone on to be with the goddess

*********************

Al: I just don't get it, you know? I mean, nothing's different. So why is it all of a sudden she's got --

Gabrielle: Al, are you listening to me?

Al: Sorry. No.

Gabrielle: Even if Jen were not pressuring you to leave town, to be honest with you, I think it's a good idea.

Al: You want to get rid of me, too.

Gabrielle: No. Of course I don稚. But you did almost marry her, so, you know, this wedding -- it's only going to bring up some bad memories for you.

Al: I was supposed to marry her, mom. Do you think that a trip someplace is going to make me forget that?

Gabrielle: No, but why make it harder on yourself? Go to North Carolina, just for a few weeks. What possible reason could you have for staying here?

Al: I don't know. I'll go.

**************

Jen: Thank you.

Woman (Marcie): You're totally welcome.

Dr. Conklin: Jen, I値l be ready for you shortly.

Jen: Ok.

Dr. Conklin: In the meantime, do you happen to know the father's blood type?

Jen: I'll find out. Please let Al's blood type be the same as Cristian's.

[Phone rings]

Carlotta: Hello?

Jen: Mrs. Vega, hi. I'm at the doctor's office.

Carlotta: Is everything all right?

Jen: I'm just here for a checkup. But they need to know Cristian's blood type.

Carlotta: O-positive. Hey, listen, i wanted you to know, even though it's customary to get married first and then think about having babies later, I truly believe that things are going to really work out for you and my son. And I'm going to be a great grandmother.

Al.

Jen: Al? Does Al know you're talking to me?

Carlotta: I don't know.

Jen: He can't. You can't tell him.

Jen: Please, Mrs. Vega, you can't let al know I'm pregnant. He'll tell everybody.

Carlotta: I'll take care of it.

Dr. Conklin: Jen, I知 ready for you.

Jen: Just a second.

Dr. Conklin: Please turn off the phone. I don't take calls in exams, so my patients don't get to, either.

Jen: I have to go see the doctor now.

Carlotta: That was Keri. She's having a baby.

Al: Yeah, I heard something about that around school. But it's not really her baby, right? She's a surrogate mother for her mom?

Carlotta: Right.

Al: So, technically, you're not really the grandmother because it's not Antonio痴 baby. Right?

Carlotta: Yes. Well -- but I -- you know, i -- I feel like I知 going to feel like a grandmother anyway. I think I have to go take care of that delivery.

Gabrielle: Are you ready?

Al: You know what? I think that I知 going to stick around, actually. I'm going to make a couple phone calls and let my professors know that I知 going to be out of town.

Gabrielle: Ok. All right. Now, you call me as soon as you get off that flight in North Carolina because I'll be worried and waiting for that call. You know that.

Al: I know.

Gabrielle: I think you're doing the right thing.

[Phone rings]

Jen's voice: Hi, this is Jen Rappaport's cell phone. Leave a message.

[Beep]

Jen: Cristian wants to come with me next time.

Dr. Conklin: Oh, good. We always encourage expectant fathers to get involved as soon as they can.

Jen: I was wondering -- you know, it would really help me out if you could just sort of tell Cristian I知 in my second trimester.

Dr. Conklin: What?

Jen: Well, you see, I don't really want to be showing at all when i get married. And if Cristian thinks I知 further along, then he won't want to wait.

Dr. Conklin: Jennifer, I can't do that. It's unethical.

Jen: Please.

Dr. Conklin: I know you're scared, but trust me -- if that man wants to marry you, it won't matter whether you're two weeks pregnant or eight months. Ok?

Jen: You're right. Of course not.

********************

Luna: Darling, I want you to have love. I do. And you are going to meet her. You are. You'll look deeply into her eyes, and you're going to see everything that's true. You'll know everything about her. You'll instantly know everything that's hidden inside of her heart. See, the eyes are the window into the soul, and nothing that resides in the soul can be hidden if you look deeply into a person's eyes. You could always see through me, you know. Darling, if you're watching this, well, guess I've crossed over. But even though as I say that, I don't know when that might be. But it's ok. Whatever happened to me, it was my time. But I want you to know one thing -- whenever life rears up and kicks you in the backside, I will always love you, Max Holden. I don't care where I am -- in this world or the next.

***********************

Luna: Darling, you just have to open your mind and your heart to all the wonderful things that the universe has out there for you. Why, they just -- they come in all shapes and sizes. Darling, the goddess is going to provide. You just have to trust in her just like we trust each other. You used to swear that you were bad to the core, but i knew different. Why, if you thought you could help somebody you love, you'd give away every last thing you have. You are a good, good person, no matter what face you choose to show to the world.

Roxy: Oh, good, Rexy, I got your machine. Ok, look, I'm skipping town before the cops get me for baby snatching and for impersonating a mother. Ok. Ciao, baby. Sayonara, kiddo.

Max: Where you going?

Roxy: Uh -- I was going to bring this stuff to the garage.

Max: Look, Roxanne, I -- I wanted to thank you for doing that. Those tapes -- they -- they mean a lot to me, and if it weren't for you, i don't know if I ever would've found them. You didn't have to give them to me.

Roxy: I had to. She made them for you.

Max: Yeah, pretty awesome.

Roxy: Yeah. It must feel really good getting words of encouragement from the love of your life when you least expect it. Or ever. She was a real nice lady.

*****************

Cristian: Excuse me. Is Jen still in with Dr. Conklin?

Woman (Marcie): No. She left.

Cristian: Well, where'd she go?

Al: We have to talk.

Jen: What do you want?

Al: You've been trying like hell to get rid of me.

Jen: I don't want you spoiling my wedding.

Al: Stop it!

[Crash]

Al: Just stop it, all right? Stop lying. You want me out of town because you're pregnant.

October 18, 2002

Al: You've been trying like hell to get rid of me.

Jen: I don't want you spoiling my wedding.

Al: Stop it! All right? Stop lying! You want me out of town because you're pregnant.

Jen: That is crazy. That is completely ridiculous.

Al: No, it's not.

Jen: Yes, it is. And if you don't get out of here right now, I知 going to call the cops.

Al: And tell them what, that I知 standing in your living room?

Jen: No, that you set fire to my bedroom.

Al: Really? You'd do that to me?

Jen: If you make me.

Al: I don't know. I don't think you'll do it.

Jen: I don't care what you think.

Al: Hmm. Come on, Jen. Is that any way to talk to the father of your child?

Cristian: Are you sure Jen left?

Woman (Marcie): Really sure.

Cristian: Well, did she happen to say where she was going?

Woman (Marcie): No.

Dr. Conklin: I don't know where she went, but you just missed her.

Cristian: She already had her appointment?

Dr. Conklin: Mm-hmm.

Cristian: Now, how's everything? Is the baby ok? Is she ok?

Dr. Conklin: I'm sure Jennifer will tell you all about her visit.

Cristian: Wait, doctor. I just want to know one thing. When's the baby due?

**************

Dr. Conklin: I'm sorry, Mr. Vega, but I can't discuss Jennifer痴 pregnancy with you.

Cristian: Even though I'm the father?

Dr. Conklin: I understand that, but I still --

Cristian: We're getting married in a few weeks.

Dr. Conklin: Even if you were married already, I still couldn't discuss it with you. Doctor-patient privilege.

Cristian: Well, I just want to know what i should be doing -- you know, if she needs help with anything.

Dr. Conklin: Don't worry. I discussed everything with Jennifer. She's coming in for regular visits.

Cristian: What if she forgets something? She's taking a lot of classes this semester, and sometimes she can overdo stuff.

Dr. Conklin: I appreciate your concern --

Cristian: But you can't tell me anything.

[Phone rings]

Dr. Conklin: Not without Jennifer痴 permission. Come with her to her next visit, and I'll be glad to answer all of your questions.

Cristian: So there's nothing you can tell me today?

Dr. Conklin: Sorry. No.

Woman (Marcie): Dr. Conklin's office.

Cristian: Not even when the baby's due?

Dr. Conklin: No.

Cristian: You know, I don't get it. It's not like I'm not going to find out soon, anyway.

Dr. Conklin: Next time, when you're both here together.

Woman (Marcie): Dr. Conklin, that was about Mrs. Evans.

Dr. Conklin: She wants the epidural?

Woman: Yes.

Dr. Conklin: I knew she would. I'll see you at Jen's next visit.

Cristian: I'll be here.

[Phone rings]

Woman (Marcie): Dr. Conklin's office. Oh, hi, Mrs. Wilson. Thanks for getting back to me. I'm afraid we need to change your appointment. What day would you like? Oh, shoot! Oh, sorry, Mrs. Wilson. Sure. I think the first would be fine.

********************

Jen: You are even crazier than I thought.

Al: No, I'm not.

Jen: You're stalking me, Al. That's crazy.

Al: You're carrying my child.

Jen: You've really lost it this time.

Al: You know what? You can say whatever you want. It's still the truth.

Jen: No, it's not. What do I have to say to make you believe that?

Al: I don't know. You could try the truth.

Jen: Here's the truth -- I don't want to see you and I don't want to talk to you. Go away!

Al: No, I'm sorry, sweetie. I'm not going anywhere.

Jen: I'll scream.

Al: Go ahead.

Jen: I mean it.

Al: Go ahead! Scream, yell, turn me in to the cops!

Jen: I will!

Al: Yeah? Well, I'll tell everybody that we made love twice while you were living here, pretending to be in love with Cristian.

Jen: Al --

Al: Just stop lying to me, all right? Stop using me and tell me the truth -- whose baby is it? Is it mine, or is it his?

***********************

Woman (Marcie): Oh, that's so tragic. I've got to go. Hey, don't worry about those. I can get them.

Cristian: Oh, I was just trying to help.

Woman (Marcie): That's ok.

Cristian: You looked like you were really busy.

Woman (Marcie): You're not supposed to see these. They're private.

Cristian: Oh, I wasn't trying to read it.

Woman (Marcie): It doesn't matter.

Cristian: Look, it's really not a big deal. I'm sure Jen wouldn't mind if i saw her file.

Woman (Marcie): But Dr. Conklin minds.

Cristian: Well, yeah, but, well, Dr. Conklin isn't here.

Woman (Marcie): I'm really sorry. I wish I could help you. I know you're a really nice guy, but Dr. Conklin will fire me.

Cristian: Ok, ok, I just -- I'm sorry. I wouldn't want to get you fired.

Woman (Marcie): Thanks.

Cristian: Yeah, you know what? I don't even know why I'm acting this way, why I care so much.

Woman (Marcie): Well, maybe you're just curious.

******************

Cristian: Yeah, I guess. It's just that this -- all this not seeing stuff -- I'm starting to think that Jen's hiding something from me.

Jen: There is no baby. It's not yours, and it's not Cristian's. It's nobody's. It doesn't exist!

Al: Really? That's funny, because I overheard Mrs. Vega having a conversation on the phone in the diner, and she was talking to somebody about being pregnant.

Jen: So? Why would you think she was talking about me?

Al: Because I asked her.

Jen: And she said it was me?

Al: No. She said it was Keri.

Jen: And you don't think you're crazy? Good-bye, al.

Al: Yeah. So crazy that when Mrs. Vega walked away, i picked up the phone, hit star 69. I got your voice mail.

Jen: Well, that must just be because --

Al: Because?

Jen: I can't believe you did that!

Al: What difference does it make? I was going to find out sooner or later. I mean, what were you going to tell me, you swallowed a bowling ball?

Jen: Ok, fine. I'm pregnant.

Al: Finally!

Jen: But it's not your business. It's not yours.

Al: Well, how pregnant are you?

Jen: I'm in my second trimester. See? I'm even showing a little bit.

Al: Really?

Jen: And Dr. Conklin says I might not even get that big. Not all women do, you know.

Al: I don't believe you.

Jen: I don't care. It's Cristian's baby.

Al: No, you want it to be Cristian痴 baby.

Jen: It is. I was pregnant way before we did anything.

Al: Wait a minute. What are you telling me? You're telling me that when you came to me and begged me to make love to you, you were already pregnant?

Jen: Yes.

Al: I don't think so.

Jen: I didn't know about it then.

Al: But wait a minute. You just said that you were pregnant when we made love, so --

Jen: I'm always late. Remember the last time?

Al: Yeah. But this time you're really pregnant. So you're telling me that when we made love, you were already pregnant? Both times?

Jen: I didn't realize anything was weird until later.

Al: Right.

Jen: I don't even know why I知 telling you this. It's none of your business.

Al: Yeah, well, if the kid's mine, I'm going to make it my business.

Jen: It's not.

Al: Could be.

Jen: I've already told you.

Al: Look, I don't believe you. Just because you say you were already pregnant, I'm supposed to think it's true?

Jen: You don't have any other choice.

Al: I don't?

Jen: No.

Al: Ok. You don't have to tell me anything else. But I think I might stop by dr. Conklin's office and see if i can get the truth out of her myself.

Jen: No, she's my doctor. She won't tell you anything.

Al: Oh, yeah, that's what you say. But I bet you I can make her tell me the truth. Is that a bet you're willing to take?

**********************

Cristian: Can you tell me when Jen's next appointment is?

Woman (Marcie): Um --

Cristian: Come on. You can tell me that, can you?

Woman (Marcie): I don't know.

Cristian: I just want to come with her, just like Dr. Conklin said.

Woman (Marcie): I guess there's nothing wrong with that.

Cristian: Thank you.

Al: Where's Dr. Conklin?

Jen: I need to see her right now.

Woman (Marcie): I --

Cristian: What's going on?

Jen: What do you think is going on? Al is harassing me.

Cristian: What are you doing here, Holden?

Jen: He found out I知 pregnant, and he freaked out.

Al: Yeah, well, I have reason to, ok?

Jen: Yes. He thinks I'm lying just to get him to leave me alone. That's why I brought him here to prove it.

Cristian: Why don't you just leave her alone, huh?

Jen: Will you tell him I'm pregnant, tell him I知 having a baby?

Al: Listen, her telling me is not enough, and you know it.

Cristian: What's with you, man?

Al: Look, I want to see a doctor, please.

Woman (Marcie): I'm sorry.

Cristian: Jen's life is none of your business.

Woman (Marcie): Dr. Conklin won't talk to you about Jen or any patient, and, besides, she's out of the office.

Al: Yeah, fine. Then I値l wait.

Jen: Didn't you hear her? She said she wouldn't talk to you. And even if she did, she'd tell you the exact same thing that I知 saying. I am pregnant.

Al: Jennifer Rappaport.

Jen: What?

Al: I guess I'm not going to have to wait for the doctor.

Jen: You can't see that.

Cristian: Jen, just give it to him so he can get out of here.

Jen: No.

Cristian: Well, I thought you wanted to prove to him that you were pregnant.

Jen: I do, but I don't really want al seeing my personal business. This is medical stuff. It's private.

Cristian: Well, can I see it, at least?

*******************

Cristian: Is there a reason you don't want anyone to see your file, Jen?

Jen: No. It's my file.

Cristian: You really are pregnant, right?

Jen: Yes. Of course I'm pregnant.

Al: Then what's the problem? Show me the file.

Jen: I shouldn't have to prove it to this loser.

Cristian: Well, Jen, I thought that's why you brought him here -- so he'll stop bothering you.

Jen: I did, but I just changed my mind, ok?

Cristian: Why? Is it because I'm here?

Woman (Marcie): Do you want me to call security?

Jen: No.

Cristian: What does it matter, Jen? I'm the baby's father. I'm going to find out everything sooner or later, right?

Al: Yeah. I mean, if you're telling the truth, then you don't have anything to worry about, do you?

Jen: Ok. Fine. Look at it.

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, you're definitely pregnant.

Jen: See?

Al: What's the due date?

**********************

October 21, 2002

Cristian: Yeah, it says you're definitely pregnant.

Jen: See?

Al: When's the baby's due date?

Cristian: This is our baby, al -- mine and Jen's. What difference does it make when it's due?

Jen: I know why Al wants to know how far along I am. He still doesn't believe I知 pregnant.

Cristian: That still doesn't answer my question. I mean, what the hell does he care about when the baby's due?

Al: You really want to know?

Cristian: Yeah, I want to know because where I'm standing, you're way out of line.

Jen: Don't let him get to you, Cris.

Al: It because i still care about Jen, ok?

Cristian: Al, I wouldn't call that a big secret.

Al: Look, knowing the due date will make this real for me. Ok? I could walk away then. I'd have to. You guys know how messed up my family was. I'd never want that for yours or your kids.

Jen: Can we go home now, please?

Cristian: I don't know, Jen.

Jen: Cristian --

Cristian: I mean, what harm can it do? He wants us to make it real, then let's make it real for him.

Jen: It'll be real enough when I have the baby.

Cristian: Well, yeah, you're right. But it's not easy to just turn your feelings on and off, not when you lost someone that meant everything to you.

Jen: My due date is my personal business. It's between you and me.

Cristian: No, it's not going to be for long, Jen. Let's see. Where is it?

Jen: I can find it.

Cristian: I got it. It's ok, I got it. Don't worry about it. Right -- all right, it says you're in your second trimester.

Jen: What? Actually.

Cristian: It says that you're in your second trimester. Isn't that right?

Jen: Yes, yes, of course.

Cristian: What did you think I said?

Jen: I don't know.

Cristian: Wow. Wow, you're that far along? All those months and I didn't have a clue.

Jen: I did. I knew it. I just -- I felt something was different.

Woman (Marcie): I have a bunch of information for expectant fathers. Come with me -- I'll load you up.

Cristian: Sure. I wouldn't want everything to rest on Jen. I mean, I'm part of this, too.

Woman (Marcie): Yes, and congratulations.

Cristian: Thanks. Are you going to be ok alone for a while?

Jen: Absolutely.

Jen: There. You happy?

Al: Not exactly.

Jen: Deal with it.

Jen: This is Cristian痴 baby. It really is. Can't you just leave me alone? Can't you just let me be happy?

Al: I don't think so.

Jen: Why not?

Al: Because I saw the way you reacted when Cristian said you were in your second trimester.

Jen: I don't know what you're talking about.

Al: When he said you were in your second trimester, I saw the way you reacted. You were just as surprised as i was. Now, you said you've been feeling strange for a while now. What -- what did you expect that he was going to say?

Jen: I wasn't surprised that Cristian said I'm in my second trimester. I was relieved.

Al: Really? You didn't look relieved. Anyway, what do you have to be relieved about?

Jen: Because dr. Conklin said that most miscarriages happen during the first trimester. So I知 past the really dangerous part. Looks like everything's going really great for our baby.

Cristian: Yeah.

Jen: I think maybe we can tell everybody the news now.

Cristian: Yeah, I'm pretty relieved myself. And that's it for the questions.

Al: Guess so. Hey, treat her right.

Cristian: I'll always do right by Jen, Al. And I'll make sure everyone else does, too.

Jen: He's such a problem. Thank you.

Cristian: Well, he's not going to be a problem anymore, because I'm not going to let him.

Woman (Marcie): Excuse me. A sign-up sheet just went up around the corner for fatherhood classes.

Cristian: Right. Fatherhood. That's me.

Jen: Cristian's your daddy. I don't understand how, but --

Woman (Marcie): Jen, there's something you should know about your report.

Jen: What? Was there a mistake?

*****************

Jen: What are you talking about? How would you know anything about my due date?

Woman (Marcie): See, I heard you asking Dr. Conklin to change your due date and make it look like you were really further along than you are.

Jen: But she wouldn't. You changed my file?

Woman (Marcie): You're really just in your first trimester. I fudged it a little.

Jen: Why?

Woman (Marcie): It seemed so important to you, and we're really only talking about a few weeks. No one will notice, and it won't compromise your care or anything.

Jen: So then the baby is --

Woman (Marcie): Al's. Right?

Jen: What'd you say?

Woman (Marcie): Well, it's just I saw how interested he was in your due date, and I sort of figured -- he is the father, isn't he?

Jen: If you tell anybody --

Woman (Marcie): I won't, I promise. And ruin things for you? Never.

Jen: Then what do you want?

Woman (Marcie): Just to help.

Jen: Really?

Woman (Marcie): Well, you could use the help, couldn't you? Even if it's just someone to talk to.

Jen: What's your name again?

Woman (Marcie): Marcie. Marcie Walsh.

Jen: Marcie, I -- I just made a mistake, you know? I thought I lost Cristian, and I just -- you know, I just made a mistake.

Marcie: Of course. Everyone messes up. I'm your friend, Jen. I'll never tell a soul, I promise.

*****************

Cristian: You ok, Jen?

Jen: Yeah. I'm just tired.

Cristian: Ok, well, I'll take you home. Oh, you know what? Better yet, stay here. I'll go bring the car around.

Marcie: Oh, he's so awesome. The way he looks after you, you're so lucky.

Jen: Yeah, I am.

******************

Al: What are you doing here, Natalie? You looking for Cristian? Because I hate to break it to you, but he's with Jen, now and forever. Jen's pregnant.

Natalie: I know.

Al: You do?

Natalie: You didn't?

Al: No. No, I just found out. You know, for a minute there, I thought the baby might be --

Natalie: You thought the baby might be what, Al?

***************

Cristian: Here. Some vitamins.

Jen: Yes, doctor.

Jen: I can't believe how sleepy I am.

Cristian: Get some rest. You're going to need it.

Jen: Cristian, thank you.

Cristian: You're welcome.

*******************

Natalie: You thought the baby was what, Al?

Al: That the baby was -- unwanted by Cristian, and that was why they hadn't told me that Jen was pregnant.

Natalie: They didn't tell you that Jen was pregnant because you're a total psycho. Now, I came here to be alone, ok?

Al: I'm not going anywhere. Hey, you tried to kiss me last week. What was that all about? How about some more of the same, huh?

Natalie: Back off, or I知 going to scream.

Al: Go ahead, scream. Who's going to hear you?

Man (Mitch): I will.

Man (Mitch): Buzz off. I mean it. Now.

Natalie: Thank you. He is a total jerk. Wait.

Man (Mitch): Yes?

Natalie: Who are you?
