Fusion is when 2 warriors combine to create one even more powerful warrior. There are 3 types of Fusion. And in each type there are certain rules that must be followed to complete the fusion. Each Fusion along with the rules are listed below.
Fusion Dance
Goku learned how to fuse during the seven years of no activity between the end of the Cell Game and right before Gohan started high school at the Orange Star High School. He was taught this technique by the Metamoru people. The Fusion Dance is the way that two warriors fuse together to make one. The dance is a version of ballerina dance, with all of the tip toeing and everything else you can expect from a ballerina. The Fusion Dance must be done perfectly by both warriors, or the dance will result in an extremely skinny or an extremely fat warrior with a weak power level. But when the dance is done correctly the final product is one powerful warrior. The requirements for the fusion are listed below.
Requirements
- The 2 warriors must be similar in size and build
- Must be of the same race
- Must have the exact power level when the fusion dance is performed
Examples: Gogeta (Goku and Vegeta) and Gotenks (Goten and Trunks)
Potara Earring Fusion
Potara Fusion is the type of fusion used to create the warrior known a Vegito. This type of fusion is alleged to be hundreds of times of better than the fusion dance. The Kaioshin developed this technique, but with time was forgot. To do this type of fusion, the two only must wear the two ear-rings of Kaioshin on the opposing ears. This type of fusion is supposed to be permanent but said to the effects are said to wear off after conditions not fully known. One of these may be being inside the body of a magical being. This Fusion was used only once against Super Buu, but after being absorbed by Super Buu (a magical being) they separated within his body. Goku obtained the earrings from the Dai-Kaioshin, but the fusion was supposed to be between Goku and Gohan, except Gohan dropped the earring so Vegeta joined with Goku to attempt to defeat Super Buu. The requirements for this type of fusion are listed below
Requirements
- Must possess a pair of Kaioshin Potara earrings
-The two fighters involved in the fusion must wear the earrings on the opposing ears
- Each person can only have one such fusion in a lifetime
-The effects of the fusion is, or at least, supposed to be permanent
Examples: Vegito (Vegeta and Kakkarotto [Goku])
Namekian Fusion
During the Frieza Saga, Piccolo is revived and sent to his home planet of Namek. While on his way to assist Gohan and the others he comes across a fallen Namek warrior named Nail. Nail shows him that the only way they can help each other defeat Frieza is to fuse to form one. Although there is little information on the fusion and there are no requirements, from what I know, and there are no physical changes except in a boost in power level, the Namekian has no name, but from what I do know is performed at least twice. This type of fusion is permanent and raises power level, also gives the Namek the combined memories and experience. The Namek that puts his hand on the chest of the other one is the Namek who's features don't change (the base for the fusion). Also the fusion can be done one on top of each other like once with Nail and Piccolo and another time with Piccolo and Kami-Sama of Earth. The Namekian type of fusion has no real specific requirements, no earrings, or special dance. Power level does rise significantly in the Namekian fusion. But since Kami and Piccolo are linked because Son of Katattsu expelled the evil (Piccolo Daimaou) from him which was then defeated by Goku and then expels an egg which in turn begets Piccolo. For this reason, the Piccolo/Kami fusion is much more powerful than the Piccolo/Nail fusion.
Requirements
-No major requirements, just that they both be Namek
Examples: Frieza Saga Piccolo (Piccolo/Nail) and Cell Saga Piccolo (Piccolo/Kami)
