The Architecture

6 beautiful photographs in jpg format
(please allow them time to load)

Iguaçu:
[the falls] [flora and fauna]

Parati:
[getting there][the isles] [the architecture] [Parati-Mirim]

as you return from a day's trip
Parati welcomes you back...

the town looks
as if it were painted against the mountains...

The buildings are marked by simple lines, earthy colours and textures.

It is a well-preserved colonial relic,
architecturally unique.

The streets are paved with irregular cobblestone
(pes-de-moleque = street urchins'feet)

washed clean by the rains and high tides.
