Background/History:
Johnny hated being trapped on a reservation and wanted to get out. He had no place to go, but he needed to leave anyway. He wanted to be a rock and roll star, not a very popular idea at home. After his elder brother died at the end of WW 2, the wings and amulet were held for him until his 18th birthday. On that day, he donned his brother’s items and they transformed into a leather jacket with a ‘Y’ stick pin giving him various mental abilities. They would change with his personality and his favorite trends over the years. The powers he gained were his ticket out like his brother before him. Raised responsibly and inspired by his brother’s sacrifice, he went out to use his powers to help people. He went to New York City to try to get into the record business with no luck. His superheroic exploits, however, brought him to the attention of All American who saw that he had potential. He embraced the celebrity status of being a hero, as well as the other celebrities who wanted to be seen with him, and parlayed that into a break in the music business. He had a modest success in music, more of a celebrity for being a superhero singer, rather than a singer with super powers. After the Liberty Squad disbanded, he continued heroing, singing, and being famous. After a few years, the Justice Avengers asked him to join and he did. After the disappearance of Canuck, Star, and Lanterson, the Justice Avengers disbanded and Youngblood and Peace Child got in the hippy and drug culture, hanging out with the Hollywood types. They were both at a party and Youngblood took one unidentified pill too many. They found him dead on the floor which created quite a scandal for a time. After his burial, the items were considered tainted and were hidden away until the day they would be considered pure once more.
Personality/Motivations:
Johnny was the brash, living on the edge of a lightning bolt, gonna be a big star someday kind of guy. He wanted to famous and be a rock and roll star. Sadly, he would be remembered more for his death, than his life.
