T.E.C.ian Warrior
Alter Ego: T.E.C.ian Warrior Commander 10.07.62
Occupation: formerly T.E.C.ian Warrior, Super Hero
Known Relatives: none
Group Affiliation: Hero Club
Base of Operations: Mobile
Background/History:
The officers of the T.E.C. Empire are genetically engineered test tube babies,
born and raised to serve T.E.C. with no emotional entanglements such as family
ties. An exceptional warrior and the pride of his caste, he quickly attained the
rank of commander. Having been raised on pro-T.E.C. propaganda, he was amazed to
see the honor used by the superheroes of Earth while defending their world. His
last mission for the Empire involved a mineral rich planet who had decided to
join the Empire after seeing a demonstration by one of T.E.C.’s champions.
They were told that they would join the glorious ranks of the Empire, but the
Commander’s troops were sent into occupy the planet, strip-mine the minerals,
take the entire healthy population in slavery, and slay the rest anyway. The
lies and dishonor of the command did not sit well with him. His troops were
loyal to him and followed his command to turn on the Empire to free this world.
There were far too many troops in the area for them to defeat, although they
fought valiantly and bought time for many of the planet’s inhabitants to flee.
Knowing that certain death awaited any survivors of his squad, the troops that
survived commandeered a small ship and took their unconscious commander to join
with those that they had freed. Their ship sustained damage and careened out of
control. Placing him in a life support emergency tube, they fought to regain
control, but the damage was too great. Their life support failed, the ship’s
engines failed, and it drifted into our Solar System. Starflyer found the dead
ship heading toward Earth and, seeing the T.E.C. insignia, feared it could be a
trap. Bringing the vehicle down in the English countryside, he contacted the
Hero Club for assistance. They secured the ship and found the still operational
emergency tube with the T.E.C.ian Warrior as the only survivor. After
explanations and examination of the ship’s log, everyone was convinced of the
Warrior’s sincerity and that he and the ship were no threat. Having no reason
to return home, he sought asylum on Earth and joined the Hero Club.
Personality/Motivations:
Straight forward, militaristic, and honorable to a fault, the Warrior is like a
fish out of water both due to his newfound freedom and being on an alien world.
He sees the Hero Club as his new troop and does his best to live up to their
expectations.
