The "Lost Tribes"
Deuteronomy 14:1,2
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.
While I do understand the case made as to the identity of the "10 Lost Tribes of Israel" and in fact see the necessity of the existence of this group if scripture is to be correct, specifically the promise made by Jacob (Israel) in...
~JACOB'S BLESSING~And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
- Genesis 48:19
Ah yes, "Israel mine elect"....but this "election" is a privilege, governed by a very big IF...
Leviticus 26:14-17
But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning plague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
Read carefully below...
Revelation 7:9
- After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
- Revelation 7:13-15
- Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?"
I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
- Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
Did you read that?
"These are they" before the Throne of the Living God,
from all races [every nation, tribe, people and language]
these are the MOST BLESSED, most worthy of all people.
Do you think this is a contradiction? Some would like to keep you believing that "lost Israel" is "above all the nations". Some will insist you are still under Law, carefully twisting, changing, or ignoring scripture wherever necessary to prove this, diminishing the New Covenant of Grace thru faith, but what does the following say...?
Galatians 3:23
- But before *faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
- Wherefore the law was our *schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
- But after that *faith [*Christ] is come, we are no longer under a *schoolmaster (i.e. the *Law).
- For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
- For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
- There is neither Jew nor *Greek [*gentile], there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
- And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
~CAN MODERN DAY ISRAEL BE IDENTIFIED ?~- Personally I have trouble with this whole "identity" thing, also with Arnold Murray telling people there "God's elect"!, if they believe such & such.
Regardless of one's nationality, when thought through carefully, even if the 10 lost tribes became the nations many claim they are, unless someone was sure of not only their entire lineage back to the ancient days of the Diaspora, one would also need to know the entire genealogy of everyone of their relative's relatives back to the Diaspora, assuring no "gentile blood" has entered the seed-line.- 1Tim 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: [so do].
I think this entire 'identity' doctrine is a stumbling block God has placed to see who will stumble through their pride.- What a surprise if Pastor Murray & his appointed "elect" find they have a drop or two of 'impure' blood in their past !
