In the early days of Blink, the band members were, Mark Hoppus, Tom Delonge, and Scott Raynor. When Scott was their drummer, they recorded 2 demo tapes, Flyswatter and Buddha, then they later recorded their debut album, Chesire Cat. After that they recorded Dude Ranch. During the tour or before a show, Scott would often leave to go home, they would get Travis Barker, drummer for the Aquabats
to fill in and learn the pieces, which he did in less than an hour and usually played them better than Scott. There are many stories to why Scott left.
1. He had many differences with the band and quit
2. He drank alot and whenm the band asked him to stop he did. But then they asked him to leave the band.
3.His girlfriend made him choose between Blink or her and he chose her.
4. He went to pursue a better education.
Whatever the reason was, Blink had no drummer, the obvious replacement was Travis.
