:::Recap:::
Skye looked back at the door and saw a guy about 5'9, with a black skull cap
on over his black hair, with round glasses over his brown eyes, tattoos up
both his arms and earrings filling both his ears, as well as his "lapel".
Seemingly attached to him was a woman that gave Skye chills up and down her
back…
:::Chapter 3:::
"Zen!!! How nice to see you!" The woman shrieked, dragging the guy over
towards Zen.
Skye stepped back out of her way after almost getting plowed over and
observed. The woman was truly gorgeous. She was about 5'7 and thin, had
shoulder length brown/black hair, brown eyes, and knew just how to dress in
order to accentuate her assets. As she excitedly talked to Zen, the man
Skye assumed to be her boyfriend was looking around, adding in a few things
here and there to the conversation. Skye looked down at her watch and saw
that it was already 11. She walked up to the three and cleared her throat.
The woman stopped talking and gave her a once over.
"Uh, I have to go Z. I'll talk to you later." Skye said quietly.
"You okay?" Zen asked, studying her face.
Skye avoided her friend's eyes and nodded.
"Ok… I'll call you." Zen said.
Skye nodded and turned to walk out. Suddenly she felt a hand on her
shoulder and involuntarily jumped and shrugged it off. She turned around
with wide eyes.
"Sorry. Uh I forgot to introduce you to these two. Skye, this is my best
friend Alex. Ok, that was Alex" Zen said, motioning to the guy walking
towards Kevin, Brian and their friends. "And this is his girlfriend Adina."
Zen said.
Skye looked at the two for a second and half smiled.
"Nice to meet you. Now I have to go. Bye."
This time she made it outside and was walking down the sidewalk. She heard
the front door open and close but kept walking towards her car.
"Hey." A male voice said from behind her.
Her heart jumped into her throat and she slowly turned around to come face
to face with Alex.
"Sorry, did I scare you?" He asked, looking at her horrified face.
She shook her head no.
"Well, Hi. I'm Alex, Zen's friend." He said, offering her his free hand.
The other was holding a lit cigarette.
She looked at his hand like it was a foreign object. Finally she pulled her
hand hesitantly out of her pocket and shook his.
"Hello."
He smiled and squeezed her hand. She quickly took her hand back and placed
it back in her pocket.
"And your name would be?" He prodded, taking a puff of his cigarette.
"Skye."
"Pretty name. Are you leaving already? Zen's told me so much about you and
I would like to get to know you."
"I am. I need to be to work early."
He nodded and dropped the cigarette, grounding it out with his foot.
"Aiight. I guess we'll talk some other time. It was nice to finally meet
you Skye."
"You too." She said, turning and unlocking her car.
She got in and sped off. Alex stood in the driveway, watching her car until
it was gone. He finally couldn't see it anymore and shook his head, going
back to the house. He spent the next few hours talking to his friends, whom
he hadn't seen in a few days or so. At about 2 in the morning, he kissed
Zen on the cheek and left with Adina.
"So, who was that girl?" Adina asked, resting her hand on his leg.
"What girl babe?" He asked.
"The one Zen introduced to me. I saw you two talking outside when she left
in such a rush." She answered, creeping her hand up slowly.
"Oh that was Skye. Her and Zen are best friends but I've never met her.
She seems nice."
"You really think so? I thought she was rather rude. She said about two
words to me and didn't even look at me when I talked to her."
"Maybe that's just the way she is." He answered, breathing in sharply when
her hand found its target and started to slowly rub.
"Whatever. So am I staying over tonight?"
He stopped the car at a stoplight and looked over at her.
