-- gods of the stage
all about them
finger eleven,
a rock group based in burlington, ontario, was started when james black
and scott anderson were still in high school. james, who played the
guitar, and scott, the then-drummer, formed the band they called stone
soul picnic. They got their friend, rob gobermann, to be drummer, and
suddenly, scott got transferred onto lead vocals, with james, doing
backing vocals and still playing his instrument. sean, scott's older
brother, was recruited to play the bass, and they gathered yet another
musician, rick, to play another guitar part. they formed the rainbow
butt monkeys (they changed their name later on, obviously) in 1995. after
winning a competition from a radio station, they were able to record
their first album, letters from chutney, professionally. as their sound progressed
and evolved, rob left the band and they got a new drummer by the name of rich. they worked hard to get where they are now, although it's not very high (their latest album hit gold in canada). they definitely deserve to be recognized for their talents.
