Hi, I am Umesh_Dawson the owner of this site,
20 years old studying final year Bachelor of
Commerce degree. I am a person with very
passionate in Economics & extremely
enthusiastic to study Economics. I breathe
Economics, Eat Economics, Drink Economics and
Sleep Economics. My aims and ambitions is to
specialize in this subject to become a Economist
(Social Scientist) and to get into research field
as a career in my life
The objective or mission of this site is to
meet the growing needs of the students &
teachers to learn Economics and to prepare them
to compete and succeed in a changing &
challenging global economy. This site is
dedicated especially to those who are very
passionate in Economics.
It is observed that most of the websites do
not cover the entire information. There were
quite a few lists of sites, but there was no
single location for entire information on
Economics and whenever student log's on to the
net searching for a information he has to visit
the large number of sites, click on the 100's
& 1000's of links they provide, use search
engines, consolidate the data from these sites
& finally come out with unsatisfied result.
It is really a strainful & stressful job for
any person to undergo these processes. So I used
this opportunity and spent hours together on the
net consolidating the data that are scattered in
different sites, collecting new URLs and this
list has grown ever since. I am still maintaining
this list partly because of the challenge in
trying to keep up with larger commercial sites
like Yahoo, Google, HotBot, AltaVista etc. that
have more resources at their disposal for getting
new information. I also enjoy knowing that I am
providing a unique resource that gets
approximately 10,000 accesses a day. Therefore,
it is definitely helping some people.
I of course have my own opinions about what
makes a good home page, but in order to support
the need for a professional homepage I decided to
build this site. This website & information
in this site is just a supplementary or addition
to the other Economics website. I have made every
effort to restructure this site so that finding
information is easier and that navigating through
the site is very intuitive to help you get
started with your research and gathering of
information, I have selected some the best sites

of quantitative data relating to various social,
political, economic aspects of society. It was to
help social scientists & students to get
access to data generated by governmental and
non-governmental agencies as well as to act as a
repository. To create linked collection of
Internet based high quality social science
resources, providing link with brief description
to scholarly resources in social sciences, giving
location on Internet via respective URL for its
full text source documents, to create Indian
contents in social sciences and add them to the
contents of Internet by Connecting websites of
social science departments of major universities
and social science research institutes.
The website in its present form is expected to
meet specifically and exhaustively the
requirements of students. I have drawn immense
material from many standard websites yet this
website is original in exposition and
presentation of the matters .I have made this
site very comprehensive & user-friendly by
adding a very detailed list of contents and needs
very thorough study of the applied knowledge of
Economics. I have pressed into service of all my
experienced teachers in bringing out this site. I
hope the students and teachers with warmth and

So I inaugurated my site by Mr.Steve Gardner. I
even like to thank the 'Computer Technology'
which helped me a lot to bring out this site.
With the help of the e-mail, I use to communicate
to the people regarding doubts and enquiry's.
Internet, which is one of the best media in its
form, is just a super natural highway to get any
kind data or Information required in this world
just at your fingertips.
Errors that have come to my notice have also
been rectified. There is no doubt that in spite
of my strenuous efforts, there may still be many
other errors that have escaped my notice. I am
gratefully indebted to the teachers and students
of the subject who have been kind enough to point
out the errors.
It was really a straining & stressful job
for me to bring out this site, since the work
involved Planning the website, Collecting and
Gathering the information, Organizing the
required data & Presentation of the organized
data. I have spent nearly six months duration and
invested lot of money to bring this site. I
request visitors not to misuse any of the data
from this site nor use any of data from this site
for any other commercial purposes. This is just a
service for that matter. I shall consider my
efforts amply rewarded & satisfied if this
site is found useful to the students' community
& visitors undertake the above words

& updated information so that I can update my
site regularly. As a student I even like to
