Sailor Moon catches Tuxedo Mask as he falls from the enemy's attack. He looks up into her face and sees the tears in her eyes. Then, he realizes this has happened before, that his name is Endymion. He was reborn Darien Shields to find her, Sailor Moon, Serenity. His eyes close and he falls into unconsciousness.

Sailor Moon screams "No!" and a bright light flashes around her. Her tiara shatters, leaving a crescent-moon mark on her forehead. Sailor Venus' mark fades, and is replaced with a tiara. The scouts realize that Bunny is Princess Serenity. Sailor Moon has morphed, wearing the long, flowing dress of her princess form. As she cradles Tuxedo Mask, his pocketwatch floats up. She looks at it, noticing that the broken watch is running backwards. Memories of the sad past...

The scouts all start to remember their past lives. They are the four guardian scouts who protect Princess Serenity. Serenity also starts to remember her past. Tuxedo Mask is her beloved Endymion. He was the crown prince of the Earth Kingdom from long ago. She would watch the Earth from the moon, and sometimes go down just to meet with him, even though communication between the Earth and the Moon was forbidden. She knew she shouldn't fall in love with him, but it was already too late.

But the people of Earth were incited by evil and became jealous of the Moon and began to attack. Prince Endymion fought for the Moon, telling his people to stop. But, Queen Beryl powered by Metallia kills Endymion and he falls into Serenity's arms.

Princess Serenity realizes that they have finally found each other in their current lives, and wonders if this tragedy is their fate. "My beloved...my one and only..." Her tear rolls down her cheek and falls, emitting a light so bright it turns the blackness of the city into day. The teardrop of Princess Serenity has turned into the Silver Imperium Crystal.

As the light from the Crystal falls across the city, it's power is felt. The sick are healed and wilted plants come back and bloom fully. Queen Metallia notices it's light that enters the darkness of her kingdom, filling even her with it's energy.

All of the fallen warriors of the Dark Kingdom come back to life when the light touches them. Kunzite watches, remembering their mission to search for their master, Prince Endymion. In their past lives, they had fallen under the evil influence of the Dark Kingdom and joined in the fight against the Moon Kingdom. But, they had sold their souls, and their flesh changed back to stone.

The Silver Imperium Crystal spun in Princess Serenity's hands, part of it going into Tuxedo Mask's body. Then, the Crystal falls into Serenity's hand and the light vanishes. Kunzite rushes forward to capture the Princess and the Crystal. Sailors Venus and Jupiter run in front of the Princess, but Kunzite still manages to grab Tuxedo Mask. Serenity tries to go after them, but is held back by the scouts who realize the hopelessness of following. The scouts all transport back to the control room.

Sailor Venus approaches the heartbroken Princess Serenity and asks if she remembers her, Venus, as the leader of the four Scouts who protect the Princess. She remembers their past happiness in the Silver Millennium Kingdom, and how it all ended. Like then, she couldn't save him. The evil being, a mass of darkness from space, although sealed away in their former lives, has come back. They must defeat their enemy again.

Princess Serenity looks down at the Crystal in her hand. It had been so powerful, but now looked only like glass. She still feels a slight warmth, like Darien's hands, and faints.

In the Dark Kingdom, Tuxedo Mask still sleeps. He is weak, but sustained by some unknown energy. When Kunzite cannot find the Silver Imperium Crystal in his body, Queen Beryl declares they have no use for him, and kills him. But, it was just a dream of Bunny's. She gets up, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

Luna sits in the control room, thinking about how she is sworn as Princess Serenity's advisor, but now Bunny is far from her. When the Moon Kingdom was destroyed, she and Artemis were put suspended in capsules, arriving on Earth and waking up in the present time. Luna's mission was to find Bunny and train her and be at her side. However, Bunny quickly remembered her past life and Luna had no idea about Tuxedo Mask being Endymion until too late. She feels that Bunny's pain is her fault and Artemis comes in to comfort her.

At Bunny's house, Luna and the Scouts come to visit their friend. They enter Bunny's room and see she has taken her hair out of it's usual buns and pigtails. She has tried to cut her hair, but it just keeps growing back. Mina comes and brushes her hair and puts it back into the usual style. Bunny takes out the Crystal, but it hasn't done anything since it first appeared. They think it may have something to do with part of it falling into Tuxedo Mask's body. Bunny is determined to be strong. She knows Tuxedo Mask, Darien, Endymion, is still alive and needs to save him, but how? Luna insists they must travel to the moon, to find the truth of their past.
