CYPRUS
A Seasonal Paradise....
with an average temperature during the long summer months of 30c and short winter time of 20c

Spring is an ideal time to visit Cyprus if you like to play golf or walk in the Troodos mountains in the centre or explore the Akamas peninsula in the west or Cape Greco to the east. It is also a time for watching the migration of flamingos from Africa to Europe and to see the unique flora and fauna of Cyprus - there are more than 1,700 flower species.

Summer is an ideal time for families to make the most of the beautiful beaches and warm sea. There is a range of sea sports on offer as well as theme and water parks for young and old to enjoy. You can experience the delights of eating out al fresco on the warm summer evenings.
Winter. Cyprus is the southernmost island in the Mediterranean with temperatures reaching the low 70's (20c) in December and January. Visitors can choose from a variety of activities, such as walking, cycling and skiing.

Autumn is an ideal time for younger and older couples to enjoy a late summer holiday as the sea is still warm. The climate is also perfect for exploring the island by car and visiting some of the interesting historical and cultural sites, with a backdrop of the beautiful changing colours of autumn. Visitors can enjoy a jeep safari to see places off the beaten track ot try their hand at sub-aqua.

In the recent Blue Flags Awarts where 2,700 beaches and marinas in 21 European countries were inspected, 34 beaches in Cyprus got a flag in all of its 11 municipalities. A list of all the Blue Flag beaches awarded to Cyprus are as follows:
Free Famagusta District
  • Paralimni-Protaras Beach
  • Agia Napa-Kermina, Ammos tou Kambouri, Glyki Nero, Pantachou,

         Katsarka, Vathia Gonia, Nissi, Lanta, Macronissos and Agia Thakla

Larnaca District

  • Phinikoundes and Mc Kenzie

Limassol District

  • Pentakomo - Kalymnos Beach
  • Agios Tychon - Santa Barbara, Loures, Vouppa, Aphrodite, Onisilos, Armonia and Castella
  • Pissouri - Pissouri Beach 

Pafos District

  • Geroskipou- the local municipal beach
