The CPR Station was built in 1914 during WW1.  It was the gateway to the city of Vancouver.  It is constructed in the Greek / Roman, neo classical style with marble flooring and Roman Ionic Columns. The exterior is made of brick with large ionic columns. Inside it is decorated by Victorian Romantic Style Friezes.  The paintings inside are of the Rocky Mountains, they show visitors what they just saw or what they are about to see, they served as an old style billboard  In 1974 it was scheduled to be demolished.
