WELCOME TO THE SWINGING 60's

 

The 60's was a great Decade for the music industry, with loads of colour and costumes and artists all of who hits of some kind, But lets not forget those who never made it big or made a Hit single, The big names in the 60's were, Andy Williams, Mary Wells, Scott McKenzie,The Byrds, The Lovin' Spoonfulls, The Kinks, Simon & Garfunkel, Cliff Richard, Del Shannon, Gerry And The Pacemakers, Brian hyland, Just to name a few.
I would say This is probebly The best Music Decade of all time.

Billy Fury

Was born in United Kingdom in 1940 as (Ronald Wycherley).

In 1960 he released the sound of Fury which consisted of his own songs.

He found his greatest success with a series of dramatic ballads.

His stylish good looks complimented a vocal prowess, blossoming in 1961 with a cover version of Tony Orlandos Halfway to Paradise; Billy had 16 UK top 30 hits, supported by the Tornadoes.

Billys life was sadly cut very short buy a fatal Heart Attack on 28th January 1983

Formed in 1961 as Dave Dee and the Bostons who preformed Rock N Roll spiced with comedy routines. They entered the charts in 1965 with you make it move, there after they had a incredible run of a dozen strong chart hits all executed with a camp flair and costume loving theatricals that proved irresistible before finally losing out at the end of the 60s
