Batman Returns
Three years after the first Batman movie, Batman Returns was released into theatres in the Summer of 1992. Michael Keaton returned to reprise his role of Bruce Wayne/Batman with Michelle Pfeiffer as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Danny DeVito as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and Christopher Walken as Max Shreck. Michael Gough & Pat Hingle also reprised their roles of Alfred Pennyworth and Commissioner Grodon. Batman Returns also became the biggest grossing movie of that year.
With Tim Burton once again at the helm, this movie kept its dark tone and feel from the first movie. Like the first movie, this one also concentrated more on the villains, keeping Batman in the background. Essentially, this movie should be seen as a Catwoman movie rather than a Batman movie. Still, it was very enjoyable and a very good addition to the growing series.
