Fox MulderFox Mulder is first and foremost a believer. His serach for the truth, speifically what happened to his sister Samatha who was abducted when she was eight. He is the son of c.G.B. Spender, AKA cigratte-smoking man, who is his arch nenemis. He was raised to believe that Bill Mulder was his father but Mulder's mom, Teena Mulder, had an affair with C.G.B. Spender who is Mulder's real father. Mulder's sister, Samatha, was abducted when Mulder was 12 and she was eight. He was teh one with her that night and always blamed himself for her disapperance. This fueled his quest for the search which lead him to the 'X-Files," cases that deal with the paranormal. As he is a FBI agent, he was allowed to work on these cases because of his pervious success in profiling. He was given the nickname 'Spooky' Mulder by his peers. Dana Scully was assigned his partner in 1992. Although he didn't trust her at first, he would later trust her with his life. She became his best friend and eventually his lover. They had a close partnership and he would do anything for her, like travel to Antarica to save her. Bill Mulder was killed by Alex Kryeck just as the elder Mulder was about to tell Mulder about the 'syndicate,' a secert group of men who were on the plans for colonization of the planet. This group were eventually killed. Mulder may be part alien. Mulder eventually learned that Samatha died when she was 14 in 1979 and his mother committed sucide. At the end of Season 7, Mulder was adbucted and later turned up in the 8th Season, dead. He came back to life to learn that Scully was pregnent, possibly with his son. Mulder's life was indangered and scully forced him to leave and go in hiding. In the season finale, Mulder showed up in a government facitly where he tried to kill a 'Super-Soldier,' and was put on trial for his life. He was sentenced to death but Skinner, Doggett, and the rest of them got him out and he was last seen with Scully, in a motel after their confrontation with CSM who told them the date is set for colonization. Mulder and Scully are now alone, without William who has been adopted.
Dana ScullyDana scully is a medical doctor who was origianlly assigned to the 'X-Files' to debunk fox mulder's work. Scully was originally a skeptic but later became a believer. She actually became his closest ally. She was abducted because of her work on the 'X-Files' in the 2nd Season. She turned up a month later in a hosiptal in a coma. She woke up and she, along with Mulder, continued their investiagions into the paranormal. She nearly died for cancer after having a small chip removed from her nick, and probably would have if it wasn't for Mulder, who found a cure for her cancer in the Pentagon. She found out she was pregnent at the end of Season 7. She gave birth to her son, named William after Mulder's apprent father, in "Exsistence," the season finale of the 8th Season with the help of Monica Reyes. She was quite close to her father, William Scully, who died in the 1st season episode "Beyong the Sea." Scully and her mom are also clase, with her mom often a baby-sitter for William. Scully's sister, Melissa, was shot in the season permier of the 3rd Season after being mistaken for Scully. Scully took her death quite hard and wanted justice. She eventually caught the killer but he was killed by the 'Syndicate' after this. She found out in "Christmas Carol," an 5th season episode, that she had a child named Emily. She tried to get custody of the girl but she died. She became quite good friends with Skinner and Doggett during mulder's abduction. After the birth of her son, she returned to Quantico, where she had also worked during the period that her and Mulder were separated in the 2nd season. She gave help on X-Files cases even after she left them. She ended up giving up her son to get him safe. At the end of "The Truth," she was with Mulder.
John DoggettJohn Doggett is a skeptic who was assigned to the 'X-Files' in the 8th season to find Mulder. He worked with Scully and eventually respected her. Even after finding mulder, he chose to stay with the 'X-Files.' He wanted answers to what he had seen. He previouly worked as a cop for the NYPD and was in the marines. He is divorced, him and his wife, Barbara, separated after the death of their son Luke Doggett. Doggett met Agent Reyes when she was assigned to the kidnapping and murder case of his son. He finally found the murderer of his son, who was shot by AD Follmer. He introduced Scully and Skinner to Monica Reyes in "This is not Happening," as she was an expert on satanic ritual abuse. He thought Mulder was in an alien cult. When scully was to give birth to William, he asked MOnica Reyes to help keep Scully safe. He later assigned Monica to the 'X-Files.' He doesn't believe in aliens and isn't quite sure what to make of the 'Super-Soldiers.' He finally sees first hand the paranormal in "Sunshine Days" but he still can't believe in it. He loves MOnica and even his ex-wife sees this, telling Scully he could be happy if he would let himself. In "The Truth," he tries to help Mulder by testifing on his behalf. At the end of the series finale, him and Reyes are driving away from Mulder and Scully. Him and Reyes have lost the X-Files but they won't give up.
Monica ReyesMonica Reyes is the newest agent to the X-Files. She states when she first mets Scully that she believes in the paranormal but not necessarily aliens. She was assigned to the X-Files after helping save and deliever Scully's baby. She was assigned to teh 'x-Files' by Doggett. She becomes friends with scully and Scully trusts her. She now believes in aliens, after all the she's seen. She specilizes is cult rituals and worked in New Orleans. She get these senses that allow her to sense what others are feeling. She had a romantic relationship with another agent, Brad Follmer, who is now one of her superiors. Monica trys to always keep an open mind and tries to make Doggett do the same. She was first seen as a smoker but apprently quit. She was raised in Mexico and speaks Spanish. While she probably wasn't born in Mexico, she still knows her way around. She helps John remember his son and her when his memory is taken in "John Doe." She is in love with Doggett and wishes for him to realize that. She first met him on the missing persons case of Luke Doggett, John's son. She became friends with John and they stayed in touch. John trusts her quite a bit. In "The Truth," she testifies on Mulder's behlf and ends up yelling at the judges. She was last seen with Doggett, driving away from Mulder and Scully.
Walter SkinnerWalter Skinner is an Assitant Director at the FBI. He started out as Mulder and Scully's superior who was also working for the 'Syndicate' in a way. He took orders from CSM until he got fed up with the smoker and turned the tables on him. In the earlier seasons, he kept switching sides. When Scully found out she had cancer, he made a deal with CSM, who didn't keep the side of his deal in the end. He was infected with nanotechnolgy by Alex Kryeck. He nearly died because of this. Kryeck used this power over Skinner, bending him to his will. Skinner was with Mulder when he was adbucted and helped Scully though it. When Kryeck tried to kill Mulder in "Exsistence," skinner shot Kryeck, ending his control over him. But because of his involement with Kryeck's death, he was forced to not help the agents. He has became a valuable ally to the X-Files. He helped Mulder escape prison. He will probably face serious conquences due to this.
Alex KryeckAlex Kryeck, better known to fans as "Rat Boy," as been with the series since the 2nd season. When Mulder and Scully first met him, they thought he was nothing more than a green agent trying to work his way up the ranks. It soon became clear that his intentions were not pure and that he was the lackey for CSM. Kryeck soon becomes a free agent when he doesn't do as told. He contracted the black oil and was locked in a silo with an alien space craft. Kryeck doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself until the 5th Season when we see him with Marita Covarrubias. It's obivious from their encounter in "Patient X" that they have known each other for awhile, which helps explains a ep. in S4 when Kryeck somehow knows to yell at Mulder in Russian just as mulder is about to leave him locked in a car. Kryeck is a free agent from seasons three to five, when he agrees to work with the Well-Manicured Man to save his life. But he does give the WMM the cure to save Marita in "The Black and the REd" when she is infected with the black oil while betraying him. Only he did this to save his life. When the WMM dies, he works for CSM and finds that Marita is alive but has been tested on, he leaves her to die though. He affects Skinner with nanotechnology and is thrown into jail by CSM in Tunsia after he steals something of CSM. He is freed by Marita, on CSM's orders, and then kills him. He turns up in "Deadalive," offering a cure for Mulder but only in exchange for the death of Scully's baby. When he tries to kill Mulder in "Exsistence," Skinner shoots him thus killing him. Kryeck does appear in the finale "The Truth" but as a ghost who not only helps Mulder but tells Mulder not to make Marita give a list of the 'super-soldiers' as they'll kill her if she does. It seems that in death, Kryeck is good. Go figure.
C.G.B. Spender, AKA cigratte-smoking manC.G.B. Spender, better known to as 'Cigratte-Smoking Man' or 'Cancer Man' was first seen in the pilot episode. He oversaw Scully's assignment to the 'X-Files' and at the end, placed an alien implant in the Penagton. He is the father of Jeffrey Mulder and also Mulder. He gave up his wife Cassandra to the alien colonizations. He was part of the syndicate until almost every member was killed. He had unlimited power within the FBI, AD Skinner was once his ally and also AD Kersh. He was apprently a lackey in the 'Syndicate' and the head of the 'Syndicate,' WMM dislike his actions a lot of the time. CSM's usual way of solving a problem was to elimate that problem. He has always been a shadowing character, with his past unknown. He doesn't like to die, even doesn't seem to fear death. He survived being shot in "Redux II" and also a fall when Kryeck pushed his wheelchair-crippled body down the stairs. He was apprently dieing in "Requiem," because of the operation he had done between him and Mulder in "Amor Fati." He didn't die though, and apprently went to live in the Anasazi ruins in New Mexico where he contracted Mulder and called himself the 'Wise Man.' He was killed in "The Truth" by bombs being dropped onto the Anasazi ruins. He lived long enough to tell Mulder and Scully the date for colonization, December 22, 2012. Hopefully, CSM is killed and will stay dead for once! The Lone GunmenThe Lone Gunmen are a trio of men, Bryers, Langly, and Frohike, who are basically government watchdogs. They publish a newspaper, called 'The Lone Gunmen,' which uncovers government sercets. When Scully first mets them, she comments that they're more paranoid then Mulder, which might be a bit of an understatement. They help Mulder and Scully out by providing accurate, or so we think, information when the duo ask. When Mulder is abducted, they try to help find him. They even provide assistance to the newer members of the show, Doggett and Reyes. They died in "Jump the Skark," but died honorably. Their life's work was to uncover government sercets and they did a pretty good job, they will not be forgotten in the x-files universe.
Marita CovarrubiasMarita Covarrubias, former Special Representative to teh Secretary General of the UN, was first seen in "Herrenvolk," gin=ving information to mulder. At first it seems like she's helping Mulder at of the goodness of her heart but it becomes clear that's not the case. She's getting orfers from CSM. She works for the Syndicate but doesn't like their actions. In "Tunguska," she gets passes for Mulder to travel to Tunskga but claims to have never been their. In "Zero Sum" we see her taking orders from CSM but someone is listening to their conversation. Several have said this man was Kryeck. In Patient X, we see her and Kryeck together and must conclude that they have been working together for quite some time. But she betrays him and the Syndicate, and gets herself infected with the black oil. She is cured, by the vaccine Kryeck stole from the Russians. But she is tested on time and time again and when we see her in "One Son," she hardly resembles the woman she used to be. Kryeck leaves her there. She is let out at soem point by Spender and he makes her go fetch Kryeck from the prison in Tunsia. While they fight at first, by the end of the episode, they are finishing each other's sentences and killed Spender. We don't know what happens to them now except that she appears in "The Truth," testifing on Mulder's behalf. After the hearing, she leaves and is not seen again.
Jeffrey SpenderJeffrey Spender is a former FBI agent first introduced in "Patient X." He comes to Scully because Mulder is talking to a certain person Jeffrey doesn't what him talking to, his mother Cassandra. He says his mother is a very distrubed woman and blames Mulder when she is abcucted. He finds out in "The End" that CSM is his father. He begins to work for CSM, taking control fo the 'X-Files' office. When Jeffrey finds out the complete truth about CSM, that he is the one who authorized the abductions of Jeffrey's mother from Kryeck of all people, he turns to Mulder crusade. He tries to get Marita out of Fort Marlene where the tests on her are being done but without a lot of luck as Kryeck won't help him, saying "It's all going to hell." When Jeffrey tells Kersh that he should get Mulder and Scully back onto the 'X-Files' as soon as possible and quits, his dad shoots him in the x-files office. Apprently Jeffrey survives and because of that, his father puts him though horrible tests that disfigure him. In "William," he brings the cure that will make William a normal boy. In "The Truth," he testifies on Mulder's behalf. No word on what happens to him next.
Diana FowleyDiana Fowley is a former FBI who worked along side Mulder when he first discovered the 'X-Files' in 1991. She left to work in anti-terrorism in the Middle East. In truth, she wa visitinig Tunsia and collecting information on various MUFON groups, data on abducted women. She returned to the US during "The End" episode, where Mulder, as Scully puts it, is closeer to the truth then ever. Scully is veryt suspicious of her motives. Diana was actually working for CSM, not helping Mulder because she believed in the truth. When Mudler is kidnapped by CSM, who wants the genes that make him immunable to the alien virus, she betrays CSM. She gives info to Scully and her pass card to get into the government building where Mulder is being held. Her betrayal cost her her life but at least she did one thing right.
Samatha MulderSamatha Mulder is part of the life line of the show. Although we rarely ever see anyone that is supposely her, her presence is always felt in the mythological shows. She has been seen a child clone and as an adult clone. She is Mulder's sister who was abducted when she was eight from her home where Mulder was watching her. He's always blamed himself for her disapperance. She's the reason for his investiagations into the paranormal. He later learns that she died as a child in 1979. Although that doesn't really make a lot of sense because numerous people, people who have no reason to tell a lie, have said that she is alive. Even Cassandra said she was alive. CSM has even hinted many times that she is alive and that he raised her. I guess the writers didn't feel like making her alive, jsut wanted a conclusion but their conclusion is weird and doesn't really make a lot of sense. "The X-Files" and all related property are coyprighted by Fox Enterainment and 1013 Productions and have been used without permission.
