 She said she was
a ward of the DEO (Department of Extranormal Operations)
for a long time, where she was kept and studied along
with other super powered young people. After learning
she could leave her room, she began to look around the
base at night time. During her wanderings, she found
that some of the tests and studies were cruel and "horrible."
Her trips then stopped when they found her out, and
because of what she had saw, DEO doctors going to make
her "inert" (dead for a gaseous being). She
escaped and was captured by Young Justice (Superboy,
Impulse, and Robin), after hearing her story, they returned
a tube of smoke to the DEO and said it was her, the
tube was destroyed by the DEO. Looking for something
to do with her life she contacted Robin, Superboy, and
Impulse, after a battle that included the boys, herself,
Arrowette, and Wondergirl against Harm. After winning
she joined YJ.
