AMERICA You're too young to die! Part I

The Revolutionary War: Some months back, we looked at the spiritual battle we are all engaged in. it is not with flesh and blood, but with demons and Satan himself. God had provided us some pretty neat armor to protect ourselves. There are other wars being waged in this country, that frighten me just as much, due mainly because their army has the same general, Satan. Karl Marx back in the early 1900's developed his manifesto of a revolutionary overthrow of all that was wealthy or well to do. Although it took some 30 years to catch on, it eventually brought about the overthrow of the Czar of Russia and all the elite and replaced them with the working class army he envisioned. Knowing this type of revolution could never take place in the land of opportunity (America), a faction or the Marxist movement formed a new vision. This one would not be economic in nature, but rather cultural. Rather than overthrow the wealthy, their target would be the moral. Rather than confiscate the property and belongings of the rich, they slowly took away the rights of the morally upright. While the economic Marxists used the poor as their pawns and soldiers. The cultural Marxists use the minorities like the black, feminists and homosexual's as their pawns. They have, like in the rich against the working class struggle of Russia, successfully pitted black against white, feminist against white male, and the homosexuals against the Christian's of our great nation.

Would you be surprised to find that the name of this new cultural Marxism is non other than our own little "Political Correctness"? Now I know we all chuckle when we hear how absurd this correctness has become, but it is in fact the new Marxism, non-the less. We are no longer allowed to criticize the minorities, feminists or homosexuals without being called intolerant. Even if it concerns something that scripture condemns. You may even be brought up on federal discrimination charges; with a penalty of 10 years prison if the like's of Al Gore get his way. The movement wants to put each of these minorities into a place of power and reduce the white male to a bigoted, closed-minded enemy of the state. Should this same white male be a Christian, he is considered public enemy number one. Do not get me wrong, I hold no animosity towards any of these groups unless they behave contrary to scripture, and am not seeking to form some wide-eyed malitia. I use these facts simply as evidence that Satan is still working very hard against the saints. He has just changed his tactics a little.

This is not the only cultural attack we are encountering. The family has taken a major hit lately. Of the 92 major situation comedies on television, only seven portray the father as the head of the household, and five of them are bafoons. We are told we must be responsible parents to our children. Try teaching them the bible though and you are accused of brainwashing the poor kid. Spank him and you’re an abusive parent. But the schools can fill their heads with new age junk, sex education courses that condone homosexual experimentation as normal and tries to promote in the disguise of tolerance, the acceptance of every deviant and perverted act forbidden in the bible. Two states are currently trying to get same sex marriages recognized as normal and any opposition to this is seen as close minded and bigoted. Religion (Christianity) has been totally outlawed in every school and public sector as dangerous and unconstitutional while abortion and late term abortion are seen as progress in an open-minded society. Even euthanasia has been given a new name (doctor assisted suicide) and seems to be an up and coming acceptable practice. Hey, we'll kill em coming and going, yeah, that’s civilized! But it does not even stop there.

Suppose you sat down with your child to help with his or her history homework and found that the books had been changed to read that Marco Polo had discovered America. How about the British really won the Revolutionary war. Or that the South had won the Civil War (or uncivil war). I am sure you would be quite disturbed. But in fact this same type of deconstructionism or the re-writing of history is going on as we sit here. Consider the following facts now in our children's history books: v The founding fathers were either Deists or Atheists, not Christians as we were taught. v The constitution provides for the separation of church and state. v The supreme court supported this separation from the beginning v Prayer was never intended to be a part of the school system v The bible is a forbidden book in the school system v This country was not founded on Christian values v No one religion should be taught in our schools v No one religion should be favored by the federal or state levels.

These Guys Were Serious: in Matthew 16 Jesus said that if one wanted to be His disciple he must "deny himself, take up his cross and follow Him". Jesus was looking for commitment not just observance. He wanted followers, the builders of His church, to be willing to die if necessary. The founding fathers had such dedication. When faced with building a new nation and the freeing of the people from the tyranny of British rule, many paid the ultimate price. Of the 55 who signed the Declaration of Independence, 5 were captured and hung as traitors, 9 died in battle with the British army, and 12 lost everything they had to British fires. These were committed and dedicated men to a cause. They were men of character and conviction. Unlike the leaders of today, they were men to be copied and emulated. So what happened to America? What has the influence of the above outside forces done to this once great Nation of ours?

We are faced with a budget of just over three trillion dollars. Do you know how much three trillion dollars is. A lot, that’s how much. If you started a business at the time of Christ, and lost one million dollars a day, it would take until the year 9589 before you were broke. And what do we have to show for it? We spend more money on education that any other country in the world, yet every year 15% of our High School graduates can not read their diplomas. Where did we go wrong? We went to sleep, is what went wrong. Fifty years ago the church took the stand "let the government run the country and the church will worry about the souls". Hitler had this same plan, when he told his churches, "you worry about their souls and let me worry about the country". Now that’s reassuring.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 Paul says "First of all then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgiving's be made on behalf of all men". He uses all four biblical words for prayer here in the same sentence. He also states that they are to be made on behalf of "all" men. In the New Testament scriptures the word "all" means all and that’s all that all means. We are to pray for everyone, but especially "for the Kings and "all" who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity". When was the last time you prayed for all men, especially our leaders? I thought I could never pray for a democrat, but God said "all" and all is all, isn't it. What happened to this country is that we stopped praying for our leaders, and they simply went astray. You want to lead a tranquil and quiet life, pray for these men.

In 1990 1 of every 10,000 could expect to be murdered. In 1960 that number was only 1 of every 20,000. How did this number double in just 30 years? Our murder rate is 9 times higher than that of England. Women are 4 times as likely to be raped and that number is 15 times higher than England. In 1960 there were 35 crimes in this nation every hour. In 1990 that number climbed to 200 every hour. So the number one thing that happened to this country is that we forgot to pray.

The second thing that happened to this country is that we started to believe the lie. Actually a two part lie. The first part is that the founding fathers were deists. A deist is one who believes that God created this world and then just sat back and said OK your on your own, and I will not interfere. Or that they were atheists, and didn't believe in God at all. This is currently being taught in our schools today. But it was not always so. 52 of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Orthodox believers in Jesus Christ. Not just religious, but Orthodox believers in Jesus Christ. That might explain the reason there are scriptures on "every" monument in Washington DC. It may also explain how they started the "American Bible Society" and "The American Tract Society" and "The Philadelphia Bible Society". Their intention was to build a Nation founded on Christian values. But you won't read that in history books. They do not want us to know this.

Patrick Henry… you remember "give me liberty or give me death" well do you know the words surrounding that statement? This is what he really said on March 23, 1775. "We shall not fight alone, God's providence is over the destiny of nations. The battle is not for the strong alone. If life is so dear or peace so sweet so as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery, then give me liberty or give me death". The rest has been erased from our history books because somebody does not want us to know.

Benjamin Franklin… said the following on June 28, 1778 during the second continental congress. "In the days with our contest with the British, we were aware of the danger. We had daily prayers in this very room for Divine protection. Our prayers were heard and were graciously answered. Have we now forgotten this powerful friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need His assistance? I therefore implore you, that you move henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of heaven and it's blessings to this assembly every morning before we begin the business at hand". The practice of starting each day in congress with prayer is still in effect to this day, although our children do not have the same privilege in school. Franklin said, we need God daily for guidance. Does that sound like a deist or atheist? Franklin would roll over in his grave if he had heard the prayer before congress on February 6, 1992 as a Muslim cleric prayed to Allah.

George Washington… from his personal diary "let my heart be so effected by your gracious glory and majesty that I may fill these weighty duties you have required of me. I have called upon you to pardon me and forgive me of my sins. Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ offered on the cross for me. You gave your son to die for me and have given me the assurance of salvation". What a contrast to the Nixon tapes. Yet we can study the Nixon tapes in our schools, but the heart felt words of our first president are forbidden. These men were not deists or atheists, but rather God fearing and God loving Christian men with character and convictions.

John Jay… the first chief justice of the Supreme Court, "providence has given our people the choice of their ruler, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and in the interest of our Christian Nation, to select and prefer Christians as their rulers". Can you imagine the feast the present Supreme Court would have with such a statement today? But that was the ruling of its first chief justice. That we choose Christian men to lead us and that this was a Christian Nation. Wow, where have we gone wrong?

11 of the first 13 colonies which all adopted their own constitutions prior to the forming of our Federal Constitution, all had provisions in them as to how to choose their leaders and elected officials. These were the official requirements for all elected officials. The Delaware Constitution of 1776: "any person elected to public office must confess, I do profess faith in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ His only son and in the Holy Ghost. In God who is blessed forever more, I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures and the Old and New Testament which are given by divine inspiration as my guide". Most seminaries and bible colleges today could not say that. What caused these men to write such a document, that has gone almost unrevised for over two hundred years? They knew Gods word and His will for their lives. They had character and did not sleep at the wheel, that is how.

Of the 15,000 writings of our founding fathers that exist the men that were quoted most often were; Montesque, Blackstone, and John Loch. These were the leading men of their time. However, the bible was directly quoted 14 times more often than Montesque, 6 times more often than Blackstone and 12 times more often than John Loch. 34% of these writings were direct quotes from the bible. 60% were quotes from men who were quoting direct from the bible. That’s 94% of the writings of our founding fathers based on scriptures taken directly or indirectly from the bible. Deists, atheists, I think not. These were men of character and convictions who 1) understood the word of God, 2) were committed to the word of God and 3) established a Nation based on the principles found in the word of God.

They came up with a three-branch form of Government. Where did they get such an idea? Isaiah 33:22 that’s where. They established a separation of the powers of the Government. Where did they get this idea? From Jeremiah 17 that’s where. And when they determined to set up the protection of churches and social institutions, they established a tax exemption. Where did they get this idea? From Ezra 7:24 that’s where.

Another misconception is that the founding fathers set up a wall of separation between the church and the state. In fact it has been taught so well that 67% of people asked believe this is in fact part of our Constitution. But the truth is, that it appears no where in our Constitution or in the first amendment. This idea was not popularized for many decades later. Our founding fathers never intended a separation, but rather a hand in hand working together for the good of the nation. The United States was intended to be a Christian Nation from the beginning. They did not want any one denomination of Christianity to rule over the others as had been done in England. Freedom of religion was not meant to be the acceptance of Islam or Hinduism, or Judaism, but rather a tolerance for the other Christian denominations that all believed in Jesus Christ.

Patrick Henry… "It can not be emphasized too strongly, that this great nation was not founded to be religionist, but by Christians. Not on other religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ". Does that sound like someone who wanted the church and government separated?

John Quincy Adams… "The highest glory of the American Revolution, is that it connected in one undisolvable bond, the principles of Civil Government and the principles of Christianity". It was from the beginning to be a nation that depended on principles laid down in Gods word as the guide for all that we did as a nation.

The Supreme Court on issues of separation of church and state has consistently for 160 years ruled categorically in favor of church and state hand in hand.

1796 Runkle vs. Reinmiller… "By our form of government, the Christian religion is the established religion of all sects and denominations of Christians. Where we were all placed on the same and equal footing". The protection of other religions was never intended only the protection of the different denominations of Jesus Christ.

1892 The Church of the Holy Trinity vs. The United States… "Our laws and institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the redeemer of mankind. It is impossible for it to be otherwise, and in this sense and to the extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian". For this ruling 87 different precedents were cited by the Supreme Court.

Our early government, with all branches in approval, for the first 100 years spent tax dollars for missionaries and ministers to do the work of evangelism among the American Indians. Can you believe that? Tax dollars for evangelism. Tax dollars were spent on school systems that were distinctly Christian in nature. The Congress of 1782… "We hereby approve and recommend to the people, the bible for use in the public schools". Try getting that one to fly today. Our children are told that the bible is not allowed in the school building as if it were some sort of banned book.

1690-1900… during this period a book called "The Little Primer" was used in all schools in this country. It was the basic learning toll for the entire time. It taught the alphabet, sounds and what we call phonics to early school age children. Once the alphabet was learned and words had to be placed in sentences, the following was used. They would list the alphabet vertically along the side of the page like an acrostic and the following sentences were there for all to see and learn. "A" a wise man makes a father glad but a foolish son is heaviness to his mother. Know where that comes from? "B" better is little with fear of the Lord than abundance apart from Him. Yup, same place. "C" come unto Christ all you who are weary and heavy ladened. "D" do not do the abominable thing which I hate sayeth the Lord. "E" except a man be born again he can not see the kingdom of God. We can not get the Ten Commandments posted in the schools and yet children were taught sentence structure and reading by using the scriptures for over 200 years. We fell asleep folks. How else could they have taken so much away and erased all the rest from our history books.

Blackstones Commentary on the Law… for 160 years this book was used to train all the Lawyers in this country. All the laws of this land were cited and next to them all the related verses of scripture to justify the law to show that it was indeed just. So many times a law student would be studying this book and come to a belief in God and His son. Charles Finney was such a man. He studied law and Blackstone's book and as a result came to Christ, became a minister and in his lifetime led some 500,000 to the Lord. Blackstone's book is still studied in law schools today. However all the verses of scripture have been removed. It is no wonder lawyers get such a bad rap today.

1811 The People vs., Ruggle… Ruggle had publicly slandered the bible. He was arrested and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. The Supreme Court ruling was as follows: "you have attacked the bible. In attacking the bible, you have attacked Jesus Christ. In attacking Jesus Christ, you have attacked the roots of our nation". Ruggle was given 3 months in jail and a $500 fine. The Supreme Court afterwards stated "whatever strikes at the root of Christianity, tends to manifest itself to the dissolving of the Civil Government".

1844 Vita vs. Jerod… a public school decided it would teach morality without the use of the bible. The Supreme Court ruled "why would we not use the bible, especially the New Testament. It should be read and taught as the divine revelation in the schools. Where can the purest principle of morality be more clearly taught than the New Testament".

1853… a group petitioned the Supreme Court to establish a strict separation of church and state. Their complaint was that it was getting to be too much and getting out of hand. Both houses of the congress met for one year and investigated the allegation. In 1854 the house judiciary committee released this finding. "Had the people during the revolution had any suspicion of an attempt to war against Christianity, that revolution would have been strangled in it's cradle". They further stated "at the time of the adoption of the constitution and the amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity be encouraged, just not any one sect". Can you imagine the Supreme Court saying that today? What went wrong in this country? In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity. That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to be the religion of their descendants. We went to sleep and stopped praying. We went to sleep and let the history books to be re-written.

Back right after the fall of the Berlin wall and the break up of the Soviet Union, a group of Russian police officials were invited to California to examine the LA police department. During the tours and after a week of talks, one of the Russian officials who was able to also examine California life as well, seemed to lose his cool. He started to really get excited while talking to the police chief from LA. The chief was quite taken back and asked the interpreter what he had done wrong? Nothing he was told. The interpreter went on to tell the chief what had gotten this Russian fellow so heated. He said "how can you, after seeing what humanism did to my country, let this terrible monster loose in America? Humanism had completely devastated our land, removed God from every home, and gave man the freedom to do the vilest things to his fellow man. Have you learned nothing from our mistakes? How did we allow humanism into our midst? How could we sleep so soundly that our Christian nation has been raped of everything our founding fathers were willing to die for? It started like this.

1947… the Supreme Court deviated from its own precedence in Everson vs. The Board of Education. They affirmed "a separation of church and state must exist and that wall must be kept high and impregnable" this took the court in an entirely new direction while we slept.

1962… Ingle vs. Vitele… the religious principles of the day were challenged and prayer was removed from the public school system. Their ruling was that "prayer in school was unconstitutional for children" a particular prayer was sited as being most unconstitutional. "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon thee. We beg thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country. Amen" the Supreme Court without quoting one single precedent simply made a statement with no historical or legal precedent. "Prayer is now unconstitutional". Where were we?

The Declaration of Independence mentions God four times. I suppose it too is now unconstitutional. And during the next 12 months case after case fell like domino's while America slept.

June 17, 1963… Atison vs. Schemp… bible reading, although originally approved and recommended by the Supreme Court was outlawed in the public school system. Here was the Supreme Court's justification. "If portions of the New Testament were read without explanation, they could be and have been psychologically harmful to children". The book quoted 93% of the time by our founding fathers and the book that catapulted us as the greatest nation on earth is now psychologically harmful to children. Who do they think they are re-interpreting the constitution of the United States? The first time the term "separation of Church and State" appeared in the world book encyclopedia was 1963 just five months after this ruling. It never existed before that.

1965… the Supreme Court further took away the right of a child to bow his or her head and audibly pray for their food. Saying grace is now illegal in this country. Amazing!

1967… they went even further and outlawed a nursery rhyme that did not even mention God. The Supreme Court said, "although the word God does not appear in the nursery rhyme. If someone were to hear it, it might cause him or her to think about God. It is therefore unconstitutional". Even the mere thinking about God some how offends our Supreme Court, how sad. And yet we have slept through it all.

1980… Stone vs. Graham… outlawed the posting of the 10 commandments in our public schools. It their ruling the Court said the following. "If the posting of the 10 commandments were to have any effect, it would be to make a school child to read them. And by reading them, be caused to meditate on them and venerate and obey them. This is not a permissible objective". Not a permissible objective to have children read and therefore live the principles of the 10 commandments? So what is their objective anyway? Are we seeing this objective lived out in our youth today? Listen to another of our founding fathers.

James Madison… "We have staked the whole future of American civility, not upon the power of the government, far from it. We have placed the future of all our political constitution upon our capacity to govern according to the 10 commandments". Mr. Madison realized that man could not in any way improve the principles that God had already established. The Supreme Court obviously ignored this. And so did we while we slept. In fact, above the bench of this most high court is a posting of the 10 commandments with the eagle figuratively keeping watch over its protection. Good for them, but definitely not for our children. Wake up America!

Supreme Court Prayer… at the close of every session the following is read "God save this United States and this Honorable court". Honorable indeed.

Remember that simple prayer children were banned from reciting. It asked for blessing upon them, their teachers and parents and their country. So what has happened since 1962 when this prayer was deemed unconstitutional?

In 1960… 50% of the teenagers asked had never kissed. 57% had never made out, or necked depending on how old you are, and 92% were still virgins.

In 1990… 90% are sexually active by the age of 18 years. We spent 3 billion on telling kids how to use condoms. 1 in 5 loose their virginity by age 13. 19% have had more than four sex partners already. 2,795 kids get pregnant every day. 1,100 get abortions every day. 623 get some form of sexually transmitted disease every day. 3.3 million are problem drinkers and 500,000 are alcoholics. Every weekend 30% of our student population is drunk. And every day 40 kids are shot and killed on their way to or at school. So much for the kids, how about the parents?

In 1990… we are faced with 3000 divorces a day in this country. 50% of the homes are single parent homes. We have 2 million latch key kids in this country. 200,000 children are abused by the adults they should be able to trust. 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys are sexually abused by the time they reach 18 years of age. And only 7% of our families are made up of a dad that works, a mom who is building a home, and children. Not too good there either, how about our teachers and schools?

In 1990… over 135,000 guns go to our schools every day. 1 in 20 students carries a weapon to school every day. 69,000 California students were assaulted last year alone. Armed assaults in the schools are up 25% this year. We had air raid drills. Today students have bullet drills and metal detectors in our schools. For the last 18 consecutive years the SAT scores have fallen. We will be the first generation whose SAT scores are higher than our kids are. Know when this downward spiral started. You guessed it 1963. The year they were forbidden to pray any longer in the schools. Well how about our country?

In 1990… well our nation is still number one in a lot of areas in the world. We are number one in violent crime. Number one in divorce. Number one in teen pregnancy (even with the millions spent in education). Number one in voluntary abortions. Number one in illegal drug abuse and number one in illiteracy. Are we better off now, than when we slept and let a minority of humanists start telling us what to do 35 years ago? The answer is a resounding "NOOOOOOO"

We have got to get off our collective fat golf carts one day a week and do something about America. Sorry, I had to say that. But we have surrendered our rights and heritage to carpetbaggers from hell who wish nothing more than to totally erase Gods name from this great country and re-write our history books so our children do not know any other way than the one we now live. Finally a look at how Abe Lincoln viewed it.

April 30, 1863, Abraham Lincoln… in the midst of one of our countries bloodiest wars. "We have been the recipients of the choicest bounty of heaven. We have been preserved these many years with peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no nation has grown, but we have forgotten God. We have forgotten Him who has preserved us in peace and multiplied, enriched and strengthened us. We have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by a superior wisdom and virtue of our own. We are too proud to pray to the God who made us. It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended power, to confess our National sin and to pray clemency and forgiveness upon us".

Besides the above references, we have allowed abortion to become the birth control method of choice. While it was once thought acceptable only in the first trimester, it soon moved to the second and then the third. Sadly, today there are those who would wait up until the moment before birth and still think themselves justified in killing the unborn. The increasing of one's morphine drip for pain, to bring about a peaceful death is so wide spread in our hospitals today, that although still illegal, seems to have taken on a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Everything that was once cherished and held dear to our fathers has been reduced to foolishness or a crime. Where were we? Where are we? Yes it is still going on today, and still we are silent. The cultural Marxists have convinced us that homosexuality is an alternative life style, that blacks and feminists, because of their numbers are somehow entitled to more than those who earn the things desired. Judges (unlike elected officials who can be voted out of office) re-write and re-interpret our constitution on a weekly basis. History books have been and are being re-written in favor of the agenda of choice for the day. Our children are told they can not pray, read the bible or discuss their faith with friends for fear of suspension. Even the "T" shirts they wear, if proclaiming Jesus or any Christian message, must be turned in side out. Evolution, although never proved to be viable and the fact that scientists are abandoning it's theory in droves, is still taught as fact, being better than admitting there is a God, whom our fathers said "created all men equal". The key word here is created.

And so here we are. A country with no vision and now no truthful past. We as the church are commanded to pray for the very men who are stripping us of the principles and convictions once held dear. Are we doing it? How much time do you spend a week praying for these men, for our government, our lawmakers? They certainly need it, but more importantly we need to do it. "If my people which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves and pray, and turn from their iniquities, then will I hear and heal their land". That is the way it appears in scripture, but even that has been changed on today's bumper stickers to "if my people pray, I will heal their land". No talk of being called or humbling oneself, or turning from their sins, but hey, that's the point. Re-write until it fits the agenda. We need to pray. We need to correct. We need to set right what has been taken away from our children. "If God is for us, who can be against us". "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world". These are not just words put down on paper. They are a battle cry for the soldiers of Christ to wake up and march with His banner overhead and proclaim the word of God as it was intended. "Onward Christian Soldiers".
