King David Lodge # 11 was formed out of the members of John G. Jones Lodge #8 in 1966. The Lodge worked under dispensation until June 30, 1968. The original members included: Brother Hodges Brown (First Worshipful Master), Earl Newton, Mettis Jacobs, Benjamin Williams, L. Johnson, Odell Jordan, and Alma Jordan. A Charter was issued on June 30, 1968 from the Most Worshipful George Washington Carver Grand Lodge. Brother Fitzgerald A. Watson, was the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Brother E.S. Gilfillian was Deputy Grand Master, Brother Hodges Brown was Grand Senior Warden, Brother Edward Phillips was Grand Junior Warden, and Brother Richard Evelyn was Grand Secretary. The Lodge's mailing address is 23 Kenilworth St. Roxbury, MA 02119. The Lodge meets the first Saturday night of the month at 7:30 p.m. Elected and Appointed Officers and Committee Chairmen for 1999
