Dear Eleanor:
I am a male, over 60, gray, balding,  and  noticeably
overweight.  Because of back problems, I have cho-
sen to wear suspenders   instead of a belt.   So,  why
is it that women of all ages think it's OK to snap my
suspenders, or at least express a desire to do so?

Most recently,  it was a younger woman on the staff
of a hospital ER  while I was waiting for my wife to
be treated.  I'm  fairly  certain  that  if I were to snap
their bra straps they would slap my face and call the
police, and rightfully so.  Why, then, do these ladies
believe they  have  a  right  to put their hands on my
                             straps?

Dear Gallus:
Relax, dear; they're flirting with you.

With outerwear.  If you snapped their bras, you'd
                            be pulling underwear.

Dear Eleanor:
My wife, Becky, and I are in our early 40's and have
been married for six years. Two years after we mar-
ried I discovered that she was having an affair with
a co-worker. They both lost their jobs over it.

We tried marriage counseling, and it seemed to help.
From what I could get out of Becky,  they were inti-
mate only once. But I never felt that was the whole
                            truth came out.

It was the other man's girl friend, Jenny, who discov-

ered the affair.   Recently I contacted her for the mis-

sing pieces.  We met over coffee, and I found out that

she and her man broke up.  She informed me that the

affair lasted another 18 months after we discovered it.

But here's the new problem:  After  meeting  several
times,  Jenny and I have developed feelings for each
other and find ourselves in a situation similar to that
of my wife and Jenny's ex.  I know that two wrongs
                            don't make a right, but I believe
also that a marriage
can be saved after an affair.  But Becky's lies linger
in the back of my head, and now I don't know what
                            to do.

Dear Helpless:
                            Have you
heard the even older adage, "Two are bet-
ter than one"?  Go for it.  Or kiss Becky bye bye.

I've just finished the odious and arduous task of changing all
the clocks in my existence.
I'm now an hour closer to my de-

Now I need a nap.  After my nap, the next thing on my over-
packed schedule is to engage in my new, maximum paranoia,
anti-plague strategy of obtaining my groceries at Kroger's via
their drivethrough/pickup feature.  Plan to drive up with my
electronic list on my cell phone, check it with the Kroger Krit-
ter through the cracked window, open the trunk of my car via
the release latch at the side of my driver's seat and direct the
Kritter to put my items in there.  Then I have to calculate a
strategy to ensure that my purchases (already electronically
paid for) have not been spat/breathed upon by anyone infec-
ted with Covid-19.

Maybe it's time to go to Amazon to purchase an electronic
version of Stephen King's The Stand – complete and uncut
– to reread for tips on surviving a pandemic.

Dear Eleanor:
Two of my 13-year-old daughter's friends  came
by last Saturday;  she refused to let them in, and
they barged in anyway, going through the pantry

Dear Eleanor:

One of my classmates has Asperger syndrome.  He
often says and does things that  are  obnoxious  and
even threatening. When I ask my friends what to do,
they say it's not his fault and I should just leave it a-
                            lone.

But he frequently talks loudly over instructions so
that no one else can hear,  and last week he fell on
the floor screaming in front of visiting profession-
als.  I want to be able to help him change his beha-
vior without making it seem as though I'm blaming
him.  How do I respectfully tell him what is and is-
                            n't appropriate?
                                                                                              Worn Out
Dear Worny:
                            Strangle the little bugger.
