The sports:
Atlanta Braves pitcher Ian Anderson, with a no-hitter and
a 1-0 lead through five innings of game 3 of the World Se-

hitter who failed (the Braves won anyway, 2-0). . . .

Four high school girl volleballers, aged 18 and 17,  were
charged with felony indecency in stripping a 14-year-old
teammate on a bus in Milam County,  Texas, in what was
said to be an annual tradition.

Dear Eleanor:

I'm  the  14-year-old Caldwell (Tex.) High School girl
who was molested in the volleyball team bus incident
reported above.     All the other players and the coach
and  other  faculty  say it was no big deal,  it  happens
every  year,  it  was  overreaching  to  charge the older
girls with felonies,  "Get over it!"

But,  Eleanor!   They  not  only  stripped off my pants
and my panties;  they  also  stroked  me,  pinched  my
titties,   and  sniffed  my  vagina.   I  was  humiliated!
                            What do you say?

Dear Eleanor:
I have been married for two years a decent, caring man
(as men go),  but one thing bothers me.

His first wife passed away  13 years ago,  but he keeps
a picture of the two of them on the end table.   It is not
a small picture.  I've asked him to put it away  or put it
inside his nightstand,  but it's always back the next day.
He has the same picture in his wallet,  and  it's  the first
thing you see when he opens it; my photo is all the way
                            back.
Any suggestions?

Facebook should be required to generate  unbiased  newsfeeds.
It's OK to include posts that are untrue or infuriating, but there

It's a case of truth in advertising.  Facebook  pretends  to  be  a

Dear Eleanor:
I married a proud Scotsman a year ago who often wears
kilts.  When we go out, women think nothing of coming
over  and lifting his kilt,  exposing him to anyone with a
view.   These women scream with glee and then become
physically aggressive with their hands.  I'm
shocked and
                            horrified anyone would do this.

The last time it happened,  the police got involved.   They
were going to charge my husband with indecent exposure,
but after several hours it became clear  that  it was the wo-
man's assault of my husband.  The  police  laughed  it  off.
They didn't plan on doing anything further. We  were  furi-
                            ous.

Why is there a double standard that women feel they can
lift a man's kilt to expose him and call it fun,  and yet the
same women would scream sexual assault if a man lifted
their skirts?  Women need to understand that lifting a kilt
is sexual assault and should be treated as the  crime  it  is.
Now, every time a woman does it,  we   immediately  call
the police and report the crime. The perpetrators are then
shocked and angry  that  they are being arrested for a sex
crime for something they thought was innocent  fun  and
                            games.
                                                                                            Double Standard
Dear Douba-Douba:
Does your husband not wear underpants?

Gee,  I'm sorry I missed this.  Perhaps  you  could
get the next episode aired on Saturday Night Live

Dear Eleanor:
I am the mother of two boys who have severe food aller-
gies.   If exposed to listed foods,  they have digestive is-
sues and they break out into hives.   Their  grandmother
(my mother-in-law) has invited all of us to a family par-
ty next month.    She doesn't believe that the boys really
have food allergies.  She thinks it is something they will
"outgrow."    Her son and I have avoided his parents' ba-
by-sitting  since we are afraid she will allow them to eat
forbidden fruit.  In regard to the party, we are concerned
that she will have party food the boys should not eat.

Should we "draw a line in the sand" and refuse to come
to the party unless she acknowledges their allergies and
adds food choices her grandsons can enjoy?
                                                                                                   Mama Bear

Dear Mama:
Whadya mean "digestive issues"?  Diarrhea?  Constipa-
                           tion?  Farts 'n' tarts?

For the answer to your question,  nah!  Just  bring  your
own food for the boys,  and slap their hands if they pick
                           up something unsuitable from Grandma.

Dear Eleanor:
I heard that Leonard Simon's son and Kelly are divorced.  So,
                            "Leonard's daughter-in-law?"
                                                                                                              Squeamer
Dear Squeamish:
Ann Landers said once an in-law,  always an in-law.  Un-
less she's an outlaw.  But Kelly works for the local prose-
                                  cutor.

DISCUSSION GROUP:

Don't  forget!    Readers interested in intellectual dissection of
important current events are invited to   attend   the  Weekly  World
News  Round  Table  at the offices of Borf Books  outside  Browns-
ville,  Kentucky,  just after church every Sunday.    Guest   speakers
lined up for meetings in the near future include
Brian Laundrie.

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE:

Remember, if you don't want to receive any more of this inane crap,
just hit your "Reply" button and type in the subject line, "GET THESE
TABLOID HEADLINES OUT OF MY LIFE AND FUCK OFF!"

But  remember  also,  you  have  to  spell and punctuate the message
exactly as it appears above €“ without quotation marks,  and  without  that
redundant  "Re: "  that  appears in so many subject lines  or  you'll  keep
getting  this  shit!  ("Cut and paste"  won't  work,  either.  We have a spe-
cial filter to detect that.)
