The Grim Reaper, or death, as he is often referred to, is the oldest of the horror legends. Supposedly, if one has lived a life of sin, and the time has come for them to die, The Grim Reaper will appear to take their soul to Hell. The legend dates back many centuries and has been rumored to have been started by mothers warning theier children of the perils of not leading a noble life.
The Grim Reaper has been used in many books, most notably, Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol". The Grim Reaper appeared as the ghost of Christmas future, who would show Ebenezer Scrooge his final fate if he did not change his ways.
