Over the last 8 years, we have helped rescue all types of animals(domestic and wild), such as cats, dogs, voles(very tiny rodents), rabbits, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs, & any animal in needWe have non-profit status in the state of Pennsylvania. We are a non-kill shelter and rescue operation. We check references(one must be from a veterinarian) for all prospective adopting parents
All pets that leave our shelter must be spayed or neutered(if not already done). The unwanted pet population is too high. All of our pets are up-to-date on all of their shots.
We also care for several feral cat colonies. These colonies are a necessity. They keep the rodent population down in urban communities. These colonies, however, need to be trapped, checked for FIV(feline immuno-deficiency virus) & FeLv(feline leukemia), spayed or neutered, given all of their shots, housed for 1 week, & released back into the colony. We also feed the colonies and build shelter for the cats, to protect them from the elements.
As you might realize, this costs a lot of money. We have been doing this for years, but we are heading into bankruptcy. We need help from people, especially animal lovers like you.
We operate solely on public donations. We receive no government assistance.
All donations are greatly appreciated. We accept food, carriers, safe traps, cages, toys, food & water dishes, blankets, & money. If you think we need it, we probably do.
All monetary donations of $5.00 or more with a stamped, self-addressed, legal-sized envelope will receive a hearty THANK YOU and helpful hints for the care of their pet. (Our hints include: cats, dogs, rabbits, goldfish, ferrets, guinea pigs, and more.)
