~ Kylisa and I have been here for almost a whole year now. That's a long time for me. Well, not really. Kylisa still enjoys the island, which is good since I'm not seeming to leave anytime soon. You'll never guess what's happened though! Mielke gave me another dragon! The poor thing. Mielke said that he found it abandoned during one of his trips to the mainland. Then Mielke started teaching me about how to properly care for dragons. I think he knows about Kylisa, but he insisted upon putting me through more lessons. I think all Mielke does is give lessons.

~ I finally got Mandarb to tell me his name. It took a lot of coaxing. He alwats seems so down. I don't know what to do half of the time. At least Mielke has cancelled all of my lessons so that I can spend time with little Mandarb. And I was right, Mielke did know about Kylisa the whole time I've been here. Kylisa loves Mandarb entirely. She thinks he's absolutely adorable. Which is very true, he quite a handsome dragon. He seems to be getting along well with Kylisa too. But there's a sadness inherant in him. I hope he realizes we won't abandon him like the other people have.

~ Boy, now I know why Mielke isn't having me do anything besides taking care of Mandarb. he's so lonely sometimes, even when both Kylisa and I are with him. He still seems a little strange around Kylisa. Though it could be just my imagination.

~ Kylisa's gone! I haven't been able to find her anywhere. Mandarb and I searched everywhere on Shanidar. She must've flown away. Maybe he wanted to let Mandarb have me all to himself, I'm not sure. I hope that wherever she is, she's safe. At least she waited to do this until she's an adult. Though she still is a bit careless attimes. Her leaving has had some nasty effects on Mandarb. He keeps thinking that it's his fault she left and that she abandoned him. There's no part in my book about what to do if your dragon leaves while the dragon you're working on is still there and now thinks it's all their fault that the other dragon left. Someone should write about such things. Well, I hope that I can bring Mandarb around. To follow Kylisa's story, click here.

~ Suprisingly, Mandarb seems to be doing much better. I'm so glad, I thought he was going to mope around forever. I think this is the happiest I've ever seen him. Maybe he just needed to feel like he was the only important thing in the world to someone and Kylisa being here disrupted that. I'm not sure, but whatever it is, Mandarb is happier now. I hope Kylisa is okay.

~ Kylisa's been gone for a while now. Well, not too long. I wonder if she's alright. I hope so. Mandarb has been growing up since she's been away. He's a teenager now. At night we go out and fly about the island, something I never got to do with Kylisa. I wish I had. Mandarb isn't nearly as closed as he used to be, though I think a part of him will always be sheltered from everyone, including me. But I've seen smiles upon his young face, ones that would make others flee in terror. He tends to shy away from the daylight, though he /is/ a night dragon, so I can understand. I'm becomming more a night person myself these days.

~ Ah, Mandarb is an adult now. He misses Kylisa a lot. I think he's gotten over being jealous of her. That's all I can think of. Though it could be that I've just been more uncheerful since Kylisa's been gone so long. Mandarb was still a baby when she left and look at him now. All grown up. Maybe I'll ask Mielke if he knows where Kylisa's gone to, or if he can find out. I really do miss her. Well, I hear Mandarb outside right now. He probably wants to know if I want to go for a night ride again. I'll write more later.

~ Can't anyone just leave a dragon alone anymore? I swear no one can get any sleep during the daytime. There's a reason I chose a cave in DRAC that can only be reached by flying. Laure is obviously a bug dragon. Well, half bug dragon anyway. Only Rainbow Butterfly Dragon who're worth anything are Kylisa and her offspring. At least Kylisa never woke me up in the middle of the day. Almost as bad as a Day dragon.

~ Gah, after Laure started leaving me alone, I get this other dragon on my back. Her name's Tiaik. Little runt. She doesn't even know how to be a night dragon. She keeps coming to ask me how to act. No true Night dragon would need to ask that. Must be something defective in her genes. Nepenthe didn't, though she does act a bit oddly compared to most Night dragons I know. Of course, I can't blame her for the way she was brought up. Sander is one of her offspring. Wonder how much he'll take after his mother's side.

~ Oy, I thought that darned rain would /never/ stop. Flooded most of DRAC! At least it didn't get into my cave. I would have been quite ornery then. Sander is a teenager now and unfortunately looks more like his father's side than his mother's. Ah well, I can tell that he doesn't like the light too much, so he should be safe. Tiaik is being an annoyance again, but I think she's finally grown up into an adult. In form anyway, not sure about temperment. But if she attacks me again, I'm going to kill her.

~ Some elf has been wandering around DRAC with a bow and threatened to shoot Tiaik with it. I have a feeling that this is the same guy who shot her before, though he insists that he just arrived on DRAC, likely story if you ask me. He even has a Day dragon and thus is not to be trusted. I broke his bow, can't have some stupid little Day lover going around and shooting Night dragons. Tiaik ignored me afterward as well. Wonder what her problem is.

~ Stupid Dayish dragons. They get on my nerves so much. No way I'm bonding to a dragon that doesn't have some Night blood in them. And no Day blood. Can't stand those rotten Days.

~ Wow, I bonded. And I still can't believe to who. Tiaik! I actually feel accepted for once. This is such a great feeling. At least I know she doesn't have any Dayish blood in her. Purebred Night Dragon. All the way.

~ Oh my, Tiaik and I already have a second clutch on the way. Well, feel free to visit them as well, or to adopt the ones that are still there. You'd better take care of them though, or I'll come after you.

~ Ah, I've nearly gotten killed by a bunch of many horned herd beasts. Confucious got in trouble while attacking one and nearly died himself. Luckily, I was able to get both of us out of there in time. I almost didn't. Also, it was a good thing that Jemmy and Katy, as well as Peridot got there quickly. We wouldn't have made it otherwise.
