The Child of Kylisa and Masquerade

~ Oh, Kylisa and Masquerade have had their first clutch!! They're Fire Fly Dragons and Aset and I both got to keep one right at first. I'm not sure what to name it yet, since I don't know whether it will be male or female. But I think I'll name him Achilius if he's male or Maesilea if she's female. The eggs were just beautiful, but I knew I could only keep one. Ah well. I wonder which one Aset will choose.

~ Maesilea has hatched! And she's a Dragonpillar just like her mother. Except that she's red like Masquerade. A very dark red. I wonder what she'll look like when she hatches from her coccoon stage.

~ Maesilea is quite the little Fire Fly. She definately takes after her father's side of the family. Personality wise anyway. Looks wise, she's her mother's daughter. But that only means that someone has to hunt for her. Good thing that Noelle is around . I'm surprised she can hunt as well as she does, what without claws or legs and all. But I know that Maesilea will get enough meat without having to dig into the neverending travel packs. Fresh meat is better for her anyway.

~ Oh, poor poor Maesilea. She was run over by a spooked Nightmare. We aren't sure if she'll be okay yet. I hope she will be.

~ Maesilea is fine now. She even went hunting with her father before coccooning. Masquerade and Kylisa have both gone back to their cave now. I often read stories to Maesilea at night. She glows in the dark, so I don't even have to worry about candles or lanterns. If she were in the wild, it might not be the best talent to have, but here in DRAC it may just be useful. She's the first coccoon I've seen that doesn't have any rainbow colors in it. It looks just like her egg.

~ Wow, thought I would never get out of that coccoon. Well, at least Jemmy let me know what was going on during the flooding. And I'm glad that she kept my coccoon dry. I would have hated to have that stuff all soggy when I hatched. There was another dragon, Dyliess, with Jemmy when I hatched. She had just hatched too, but from an egg and not a coccoon. She seemed odd for a hatchling, but oh well. I had to go and find some other dragons. I'll talk to her soon enough.

~ You'll never guess. I've finally found a dragon whose color goes well enough with mine that I bonded to him! He's from the first clutch of Rain dragons and his name is Vaebryn. He's a beautiful dark blue color. You should see him. He looks so wonderful.. Sigh.

~ Ah, the eggs are so wonderful. And they don't clash, which is a good thing. It would be horrible if the eggs all clashed with each other! You should visit our children if you get the chance and admire how beautiful they are. Echo, Narcissus, Raloth, and Kerranda. There are still 5 eggs left.

~ Oooooo, just look at what Vaebryn gave me for Valentine's Day!!!
