Directions: Do not confuse Seal Harbor with Seal Cove. They are on opposite sides of the island. From Route 3. bear right onto Route 102. After passing through Somesville, take a right at the fire station continuing to follow Route 102. (Be sure to turn right. Route 102 also continues straight through Somesville). Your next turn will be right onto Bartlett's Landing Road. Stay on Bartlett's Landing Road until you reach the very end.
Paddling Information: This is a beautiful place to paddle, but the launch area is pretty busy with a mix of commercial fishermen, private boats, commercial kayak companies, and individual kayakers. You have to be aware that you should launch quickly, and move your boats off the ramp as rapidly as possible on your return. Parking in the area is limited. You can usually unload your boat near the ramp, and then park on the side of the road. Leave plenty of room, so that vehicles with trailers can back down the ramp.
