A short sequence from the opening show in Buffalo was used in the movie "Elvis On Tour", indeed the karate sequence on stage with the "Blue nail jumpsuit" was filmed in Buffalo. If you watch closely at this footage in the movie you'll notice that the stage belt is different that the one used in Hampton Rds.
This karate sequence in the movie is almost complete but still they have edited out the very last seconds while Elvis finished with a side-kick after a brief pause (the sequence in the movie ends on that pause).
Abel did film this show (he did that himself and only one camera shot the performance on a Sony videotape machine) and went back to California for studying the film. It was transfered on a three-quarter-inch and studied frame by frame.
There's also another brief sequence in the movie with that jumpsuit that doesn't belong to neither Buffalo or Hampton Rds (afternoon performance). When we see the sequence in the movie before " I Got A Woman ", you'll notice that Elvis is going near the edge of the stage on his left ,and there you can see a row of stage spotlights (positioned at the same height of the stage), these aren't in Hampton Rds or neither Buffalo (I have footage of the Buffalo '72 show and Elvis has a different stage belt anyway), at the same time you have a very brief glimpse of one musician's arm (probably James Burton). You'll notice that this musician has a white suit which wasn't the case in Hampton Rds,so that footage comes definitely from an unknown official shooting from M.G.M.'s crew. This very brief sequence was most likely shot at the April 12th concert in Indianapolis,IN.
