What was that? What is this crystal?? Guardian of the Crystal??? These were just some of the questions swirling around in Nick's mind. Trying to answer them just made him tired, or maybe he was just tired of the long day. Either way, all he wanted to do is get to Carter's and crash (sleep) for the night.

2 1/2 hours later, Nick arrives at Carter's. It seemed like nobody was there. All the cars where gone except for Steve's and the van with the equipment. Nick steps out of the jeep and walks toward the front door. The door bursts open just as he was about to grab the door knob. A drunken Steve stumbles out holding a half empty beer bottle. "H...ey Nick, you mi... mi... issed the party train. Everyone went to town.... instead staying he...he...re. Wha...t's wrong man?" "Nothing. I just feel a little strange. I'm going to sleep, and I think you better take a shower and go to sleep as well." "Yeah... I'll think about...that. Nite man." Nick walks past Steve and pat's him on the shoulder and heads inside and to his room. Nick takes off his jacket and stuffs it in his duffle bag. He plops down on his bed and falls fast asleep.

Nick's mind begins to try and put all of what he's seen together, but nothing seems to fit. There are still pieces left and soon they will all come together...

3 days later in New York, "Hey you ready in there?!" Steve pounds on the bathroom door. Nick puts down his razor and washes and dries his face. "Yeah, I'm coming. What time is it?!" Steve looks at his watch. "It's 7:23 (P.M.), and we have to be there at 7:45 to get ready for the presentation. So we have to leave now, because traffics a bitch this time of night!" Nick opens the door, walks over to the night stand beside the bed and picks up his watch. "O.k., let's go." The two of them head downstairs and to the parking garage to pick up their rental car. They get in and haul ass to the museum.

2 months ago Nick was an average highschool loser. Sure he played varisty football and did tons of school activities and had an active social life, but there was always something about him that made people who got to know him, stay away. Now he's part of an important, if not the most important archeological discovery of all time. And if it hadn't been for his strange thoughts, then it would probably still be buried deep in the earth. Now he's about to attend the unvailing of the tablet at New York's Museum Of Natural History. In reality, he doesn't even need to be there. He's not even goin to be mentioned at all. Carter's going to be accepting everything, but that doesn't Nick. He's just happy to be a part of it all. Besides, he's got a little something to show for it >:)

7:55 pm.- Nick and Steve wait behind the curtains with the rest of the team, until the unvailing at 8:30 pm. "How long do we have to wait till they let us out there?!" Nick looks at Steve. "Calm down man, not that long." Steve looks at his watch. "How long?" Nick sighs. "Half an hour... or so." "This is bull shit. we should be out there with Carter and so should everyone else. I'll be back in a few. I need to take a smoke." Steve takes off to the exit. Nick decides to sit down and take a breather. He finds an empty chair and sits down.

Slowly but painfully, a wave of pain rushes through Nick's body. Nick yells in pain. "Aaggghhhh!!!!" He slips off his chair and onto the floor. A woman standing across from him rushes over and bends down to help him. "Are you o.k.? Do you need me to get someone?" She helps him stand up. "No thanks... But do you happen to know where the Men's room is?" She smiles at him. "Yeah, I'll help you there." The tall red-head walks Nick over to the rest room. "I'll wait over here if you need me." Nick pushes the door open and wobbles to the last stall. Once inside he feels a strange presence around him. A blue light begins to fill the stall. Nick looks around trying to find the source. He looks down at his pocket and finds the source. He had brought the Guardian Crystal with him for some reason, he couldn't think why at the moment, but the crystal was glowing and pulsating. He pulls it out and looks at it. "What is it?" With that question, all goes black.

The woman all in white appears. "Shadow Star is coming, but you can defeat him. His Shadow Demon's have already arrived and are searching for the Guardian Crystal. You are the one, you have the power. Now use it!" She touches his forehead and then all of a sudden, all the knowledge of the crystal is inputed into his mind. As if he knew it the whole time.

Things return to normal and leave him with a massive head-ache. He opens the door and wobbles over to the sink to wash him face. He barely makes it when the ground begins to shake. He hears screams from outside of the rest room. Nick hurries out of the rest room, and see's people running outside the museum exits. He follows them outside and stops right out side the exit. In the middle of the streets stands an 8 foot tall dragon-like creature, smashing cars that have stopped to avoid hitting it. Without a thought, Nick runs into the museum and looks to make sure nobdy was around. He pulls out the crystal and begins the transformation.

"Universal Guardian Crystal Power!" In a flash of light, he is transformed. Nick looks down at himself and examines his new gareb (uniform). A mirror across from him also shows that, that's not the only thing that has changed. His once tied back hair was flowing freely and longer than before. Also, he was about 7' feet tall now from his original 5'9". Enough time wasted, Nick floats into the air and teleports outside. He appears outside standing 6 feet from the creature. The creature wastes no time and attacks Nick.

The two of them engage in hand-to-hand combat. Nick in a few punches, but with the knowledge and without the experience, gets beat down. The creature slams him into cars and throws him into the side of a building. The creature begins to charge after Nick. There were too many people around and he had to stop this creature now. Barely able to stand up, Nick reaches into the mind of the crystal to find an answer. With the right answer found, Nick gets ready to use it. The creature lunges at Nick. Now was the time, "Crystal Orb Light!" A bal of light emerges from his chest and hands. It hits the creature, and vanishes it.

A crowd begins to gather around him, Nick floats into the air and teleports to the rest room. "Universal Guardian Crystal Deactivation!" , Nick yells and reverts back to normal. "That was so cool, I've got to tell.. Wait, I must keep this a secret from people. I'll never know if someones working or involved with Shadow Star." Nick walks out of the stall. An old man was standing at the sink and turns to look at him. "You teenagers are strange. First it was dying your hair and piercing yourselfs. Now it's talking to your own feces (bodily waste). What's the world coming to?" Nick just washes his hands and walks out of the rest room. He walks outside and finds Steve among the crowd.

"Man, did you see that!" Steve yells to Nick. from a distance. Nick walks to Steve and and stops next to him. "See what?" Steve's mouth drops open. "Man, there was this creature thrashing things up out here, then this dude appears out of nowhere and fights it. The creature puts the beat down on the dude, then the creature throws the dude, and he slams into that building over there. I thought that dude was gone, but as the creature jumped at him, he let out this light and the creature disappeared." "Oh I'm going to the hotel now. Do you mind getting a ride with someone?" "Uh.. Yeah, no problem. Later man." Nick walks to the Valet and picks up the rental car.

Later that night, "I've got to find someplace to put this. Something this big can't be found. Ahhh, It's last. I'll think of something later.... This is all so cool, but why was I given the crystal? A teenager given something that could destory all time and space. Still... with all the information, from the crystal, it would be better if I'd never found the crystal. Now that I have, I must use it to save the Universe and who knows what else." Nick turns off the lights and gets into bed. "I just hope that I can do it."
