Ran across your site and am the son of a Kentucky Baker, Raymond Everett (b.1916-d.1996), grandson of Dennis Albert (b.1887-d.1968). Was curious if there were any links that might correlate with this obscure branch of the Baker Tree.
Thanks in advance,

I am searching for my Great-Great-Grandparents Martin and Margaret (Provience) Baker. No information is known on them. Their son was my Great-Grandfather William Albert Baker, supposedly born in Mill Springs, Missouri, on July 5,1854 and married Margaret Gansner in Jefferson County, Missouri, on Sept. 18, 1879. William and Margaret Baker are buried on private land in Danby, Missouri. The 1880 Census for Jefferson County, Missouri, lists William and Margaret Baker with William Albert and parents being born in Arkansas. Either Mill Springs, Missouri, or Arkansas is incorrect. Martin and Margaret (Provience) Baker do not appear in any Missouri Census that I can find. Are they really from Arkansas? If anyone has any information concerning Martin and Margaret (Provience) Baker, please send E-Mail and if I obtain any information on this family, I will share it.
Thank you.

I am looking for information regarding my husband's great grandfather, Francis M. Baker, who was born in Ohio in 1848, and his parents, John Baker(born in Maryland)and Catherine (maiden name unknown, born in Pennsylvania). Francis married Sarah Ellen Parker, daughter of Nathaniel Parker and Margaret Klee, and had three children, Margaret Catherine, Melcena, and Alfis Elwood. (Alfis Elwood was my husband's grandfather). Francis and his family were enumerated in the 1880 U.S. Census in Allen County, (Monroe Township)Indiana. In this census the census taker mistakenly listed Alfis Elwood as Edward. Francis died between the late 1800's and early 1900's in Indiana. His wife, Sarah Ellen, remarried and moved to Louisiana, where she lived out the rest of her life. I would appreciate any help in procuring information about Francis, and his parents, John and Catherine.

Hello,
I am searching for information about my ancestral grandmother Susannah Matthewson/Mattison who married Stephen Baker Stephen Baker was born in Bolton, MA. on June 16, 1778 and is the son of Stephen & Deborah (Crosman) Baker. Stephen was a Quaker & he and his brother Peter built the Quaker meeting house in Mount Holly, Vermont. There is some evidence that he may have resided in Rhode Island for a while. Stephen died on August 18, 1858 in Danby, Vermont. He & his wife Susannah Matthewson/Mattison are buried at the Baker Cemetery at Danby, Vermont. The only information I have on Susannah (Matthewson) Baker is that she died Feb. 13, 1872 and is mentioned in Maria Abby Hemenway's Gazette.
