I posted a query back in july which I have not updated and thought I should as things have become clearer since then. Seems the Alexander Baker we thought was my GG-grandfathers (Felix Baker) brother turned out to be his Father after all. While Searching in the Girard IL public Library I came across some old census record that had 3 other children listed to Alexander Baker (b.1794) than was previously known to us. The Census record my uncle had was either wrong or he missed some names. Felix did have a younger brother named Alexander(one of the names we didn't have) which clears up my G-grandfathers (Alexander Jackson Baker) statement of living with his uncle Alexander after his parents death.
And now the search continues. I am looking for a possible connection between my ggg-grandfather Alexander and a Squire Baker. Both served in the same Kentucky regiment during the war of 1812. Squire Married an Elizabeth Followell in 1792. If Anybody has any connections or history on this couple I would be glad to hear from you.

Hi. In the next few years I will become a Baker. I have just one problem with this. I know nothing about my soon to be husbands family. His name is William Dale Baker, Jr. I know that he has a brother named Jessi James Baker, and I've know his mother, Debbie, and his half sister and step father, but I know next to nothing else. I do know that he has family in St. Louis, Missouri (I think St. Louis), but other than that, nothing else. I would be extremily happy to find out anything about his side of the family, and about the family that I will soon enough be part of. Thank you for your time. Also, in advance, thank you for your help.
Sincerely,

I am searching for the parents of James J. Baker who married Elizabeth Jane Pennington sometime in the 1850-1860 timeframe. I have been able to trace almost all of James J and Elizabeth's descendants on the Baker side to the present. This farming family with two children, James Drewry born 1862 and Jasper Newton, lived in Dyer County TN (community now named Tigrett) in 1870 but are not found in the 1860 census. The census of 1900 states that both James J. and Elizabeth were born in TN and both of their parents were born in NC. James J. Baker born 2/16/1829, died 9/21/1903. Elizabeth Jane Pennington born 5/25/1841, died 2/16/1937.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I'll be glad to share any information I have.
