I found a Mary Francis Baker b. Sept 21, 1859 and d. 1955. Mary married Andrew Jackson Rhoden from Missouri in 1884 in Berryville, Carroll Co., AR. They had 7 children. Marys' parents were survivors of the Mountain Meadows Massacre of the Fancher wagon train in Utah. This was all in Jim Lair's book, "Carroll County Families: They Were The First".
I am trying to find out who Mary Francis's family line was....do you think you might be able to help me find out her parents names?

I am researching my maternal line and am stuck on Andrew Baker, b. 1820 in Ashe Co., NC, m. Polly Hash 1840 in Ashe
Co. Polly Hash was the daughter of William and Hannah Bonham Hash. William was the son of John Hash (b. @1773 ) and Rebecca Anderson. John Hash was the son of William Horton (b. 1746) and Ellender/Eleanor Osborne Hash. The Hash Family seems to have lived in both Ashe County, NC and Grayson Co., VA from time to time. Family tradition says that Andrew moved the family to Arkansas, settling in what is now Boone Co., AR, from either Smyth or Wythe Co. in VA. His eldest son, Felix S. Baker, is said to have been educated at the Liberty Academy in Wythe Co. I have been able to find no other information on parents/siblings of Andrew. In fact, the birth and marriage dates on him are the sum total of what I have. If this family looks familiar and you can help "unstick" me, I would be very grateful!
Thanks in advance for your help.

I am looking for parents of William Benjamin Baker
as far as I know he was born March 4, 1864 in Kentucky? died August 17, 1930 in Halley, Drew, Arkansas. He was married to Nellie Abiegale Howard. Marriage date & location unknown. She was born in Mississippi. They had a son Nelson Henry Baker b. March 12, 1916 in Arkansas d. August 15, 1973 in Michigan.
William Benjamin Baker seemed to come out of nowhere. It is said that he was married before and had grown children when he married Nellie but no one really knows. It has also been rumored that he rode sometimes with the James Gang. Who knows if there is any truth to that? It makes a good story though.
I am married to the son of Nelson Henry Baker. It would be nice if we could get more information on William but we are stuck.
