She married Fitch Provost in Stamford, Connecticut, 8 Mar 1885. Fitch was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut Abt 1854. Fitch died Nov 1930.

Bessie Jane Smith and Fitch Provost had the following children:

1814 i. Lucy Ada¹⁰ Provost was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut 11 Mar 1887. Lucy died 16 Mar 1888 at 1 years of age.

1815 ii. Elsie May Provost was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut 8 May 1888. She married George Terwilliger Jr. in Of, Stamford, Connecticut, Abt 1909. George was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut Abt 1884. George died 22 Feb 1911.

+ 1816 iii. Clara Howard Provost was born 28 Sep 1892.

1817 iv. Gertrude Provost was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut 31 Mar 1899. She married Robert R. Wallen in Of, Stamford, Connecticut, Abt 1920. Robert was born in Of, Stamford, Connecticut Abt 1895.
