First of all Nebraskans are very loyal "Huskers" fans. Their team has won several National Championships... GO BIG RED!!! OK here we go.. First stop is Omaha Here is the Heartland of America Fountain. Isn't this beautiful?? Now here we are at President Gerald R. Fords Birthplace. It is an outdoor park that displays White House articles, a replica of the house where President Ford was born, and of course Betty Fords Rose Garden. This is the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. It has been voted #1 zoo in the midwest and the top family friendly vacation spot. Just a few features include: Simmons Aviary, Bear Canyon, Scott Aquarium, and Cat Complex. Boys Town began as a dream of an Irish immigrant named Father Flanagan. His dream came true December 12, 1917 when he opened his first home. Today Boys Town helps both boys and girls who are troubled, homeless, abused or handicapped. Isn't this a wonderful idea?? Omahas Botanical Gardens Wow this is one of my favorite places.
