first houses built
in Lincoln. It was
built in the 1870s
and is now restored.
The inside is furnished
in 1870s decor.

Burwell, to see
Nebraskas biggest
rodeo. I don't mind
watching this, but you
won't find me doing this.

a lot of these on
our trip !!!Oh No, we ran out
of gas...Who will go

For 5 weeks each
spring, the Platte
River has 90% of the
worlds Sandhill Cranes.
About 500,000 Sandhill
Cranes visit here to
gain energy from the
fertile land. From mid
February to mid April they
can be seen and heard
for 30 miles. In addition
we can see 10 million
ducks and geese too.

January through March
you will be amazed by
the number of bald
eagles that visit the
Platte River.

Chimney Rock stands
475 feet high. Pioneers
traveling west could
see it for 3 to 4 days
before reaching it.
It became the setting
for the pony express,
telegraph, and stage
coach stations.

The Lake Minatare
Lighthouse is one
of only 7 inland
lighthouses in the U.S.A.
