Let me introduce myself!
I am Gloria Dianne.
Named after Mom's paper dolls,
Sure glad I wasn't born a man!

People who knew me way back when,
Say "I didn't know you were a poet."
I answer "Well, neither did I!
And my feet don't even show it!"


You see, one day, many moons ago,
While hanging clothes out on the line,
Everything that my children said,
Came back to me in rhyme.

So I ran back into the house,
And sat down with paper and pen.
And created my very first poem,
I called it "Make Pretend".

Where this talent came from,
I really do not know.
I've had no formal training,
I just make it up as I go.

Putting my thoughts in words,
Is difficult at times.
I find I can best express myself,
When I put my words in rhyme.

Some say fate's been unkind to me,
Over my many, many years.
Yet, I always seem to find a way.
To find laughter through my tears.

I can put things in prospective,
Through my poetry.
And I might go as far to say
That it's been my therapy!

Everything that I write about,
Is based on something true.
And truth IS stranger than fiction!
"Ode to a Toaster" proves it to you!

I know that you will enjoy
Each poem in my collection.
And with the help from sister "B",
Our site is near perfection!

Some poems may make you laugh out loud!
That's what they're meant to do.
And some just may make you cry,
And you might need a hankie or two!

Now that you know about
My older sister, Glory,
I thought it was time you knew
About the "B" in Glory B!


There really isn't much to tell,
I was married pretty young.
I have four wonderfull children,
One grandaughter and four grandsons!


Life was pretty easy when
The children were all young.
Hubby had a good job,
So, I was able to stay home.


But life is full of changes,
And doesn't always go to plan.
So, when hubby became ill,
Off to work I ran!

My hobby is... you guessed it!
The great, WEB-TV.
It was a Christmas present.
My daughter gave it to me!


After playing with it
For a few months or so,
I was ready for a web site,
But on what? I didn't know.

Then along came the answer.
"Glory's poems!" I thought.
Asked her, she said "perfect!,
Since on this I must be taught"


She would send me her poems,
And I would put them on our site.
Look for the perfect pictures,
And a song that felt just right.


So, here we are,
The team of Glory and "B"
Presenting to you,
Gloria Dianne's Poetry!
