My thoughts on Titanic

I have always had a great interest in the Titanic probably because it was such an unneccessary tragedy and also because it occurred on such a brilliant ship in such an interesting time in history. The time was one where technology was really firing up but also where things were still produced with great care and attention to detail. I think what is so good about it besides the effects is the way you get taken back into that time. The idea of love breaking through class boundaries is good, along with the idea of people committing to stick through the difficult. This wasn't just a ship that sank with many lives lost. Every person who died was just like you and me. The film manages to bring this through to us.
