Tips on collecting

What starts out as a hobbie may turn into a very valuable investment.
The dolls from Mattel today are usually collector or limited editions. As a result once sold out, they easily go up in the secondary market.
How to decide in what dolls to invest in? Research,Stay informed, join local clubs and Know prices!
The first dolls in a series are often the best bet,to increase in value.
Consider keeping your doll boxed to maintain the value. Some of the newer series are designed to be displayed this way.I also keep my boxes wrapped with a clear plastic to keep them dust free. You can also purchase dust covers.
No one can gurantee a doll will increase in value. Some dolls appreciate, and some dolls decrease in their value. So i suggest buying dolls that you adore.
The differance between limited editions and collectors editions.
Limited is produced in smaller quantities 35,000
