"Didn't I ground you??" he asked without looking up from his work.

"Please, Dad. It'll only be for an hour, I promise. I'll come back home and do all that I need to do,"

Walker sighed and put his pen down. He looked in his son's direction, "For one hour. You be back her at noon not thirty minutes after,"

Zac's face lit up he ran over to his dad and gave him a big bear hug. "Thank you, man!!" After having his dad try to get him off, Zac ran out into the hallway.

"I MEAN IT ZACHARY!! ONE HOUR!!"

"OK!!"

Zac ran out the house and then ran for a couple of blocks. He came around the corner and started to slow down. He approached a two story house and ran up the porch steps and stopped. He started to smooth out his hair and the wrinkles in his shirt, then he hit the button for the doorbell. Zac heard two people yelling and screaming then the door opened. Paige opened the door crying.

Zac's face was filled with concern, "What's wrong??"

She put her finger over her mouth indicating him to be quiet and grabbed his hand and pulled him inside. She kicked the door closed and ran up the stairs. She went in her room closed and locked the door. She threw her self on her bed and continued to cry. Zac could her the yelling start up again.

Zac just stood there watching her. What are you doing?? Go comfort her!! Zac walked over to the bed. "Hey, come here," he said with open arms.

Paige looked up and wrapped her arms around Zac's neck. They sat there hugging for five minutes. Zac broke the silence and whispered, "What's wrong,"

Paige got up off the bed, "Everything! First I break my arm, now this,"

Zac got off the bed and took the hand without the cast. "You can tell me, I'm here for you,"

Paige looked in his eyes, and then sighed. "You don't know me,"

"That can change,"

"No, I don't want to get used to seeing that sweet face of yours, because it's gonna hurt me even more when I have to leave,"

Zac gave Paige a confused look, "What do you mean??"

Paige looked down at her feet, and whispered, "My parents are getting a divorce, my dad gets the house and I have to move away at the end of the summer," she started crying harder.

Zac pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her. He didn't know to act. She was right, he didn't know her, but he wanted to change that so bad.

"Paige, I know we already passed this subject and everything but can we at least try to make this work?? And when you move we can have a long distance relationship, my brother has done it before and then his girlfriend moved back and they still had the hots for each other," said Zac, while looking at Paige who was lying right beside him on the floor.

She continued to stare at Zac's signature on her cast, "I don't know Zac. Do you think that it would work??"

Zac sat up, "Yes it's gotta work! If it works for them it's gotta work for us!"

Paige looked up and smiled.

"Please!"

"You know that just made you sound desperate," she said while moving her head from the pillow she was laying on to his lap.

"Hey!! I like you ok, do you have a problem with that??"

"No not at all," she smiled again. "Let's do it!!"

Zac was lost in Paige's blue eyes he suddenly forgot what they were talking about, "Huh..what are you talking about??"

That little question put Paige in tears, "OMG Zac!!" she couldn't stop laughing. "Let's do it as in let's be a couple!"

Zac smiled but then right as he smiled his eyes grew big and his smile left.

"What's the matter??" asked Paige while sitting up.

"OMG!!"

"What?? What??" Paige was getting really worried.

He pointed to the clock and asked, "What does that clock say??"

"1:30. Why??"

Zac knew he was in for it this time.

"I..I gotta go," he ran towards the door and tried to pull open the door but it wouldn't open.

"OMG!! THE DOOR WON'T OPEN!! HELP!! HELP!!" he yelled, while banging on the door.

"ZAC! ZAC! Just un-lock it!" Paige said, between laughs.

Zac looked at her and then looked at the door. He unlocked it, opened the door, and ran out the door. Then all of a sudden she heard a loud thump.

She ran out of her room and stopped at the top of the stairs and saw Zac laying on the floor by the door.

"OMG Zac!! Are you ok??"

"Yeah I just kind of ran into the door,"

Paige started laughing.

"I gotta go," he opened the door and ran straight home.
