Chapter Two: Grandma??

"Jennifer?!?" yelled Jennifer's step mom while running down the hall.

When she appeared in the door way to see what was going on Jennifer just went crazy, "What do you think you're doing here?? I can't believe you would show your face. I hate you. If you didnt come around I wouldn't be so heart broken at this point. But no!! My mom and dad seperated because of you. Then on that night my mom went to a party got drunk and killed her self all because my dad left her for you. I hate you!!!!"

All of a sudden her dad came running in the room, with a belt, and began beating her, "DON'T YOU EVER TALK TO HER LIKE THAT AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME!?!?!"

When Jennifer didn't answer he began hitting her once more, "I SAID, DO YOU HER ME!?!?"

Jennifer finally was able to speak and she said, "Yes,"

"Good, now if you want more all you gotta do is talk more of that trash to Terri and she'll tell me and I'll be here with my belt the minute I come home so you better watch what you say,"

Jennifer nodded and watched as her dad and step-mom, Terri, walked out of the room. She had to get out of there. She didn't know when and she didn't know how but someway she had to. She couldn't stand the way she was living her life.

The day after she got back to Chicago, she got back together with her ex boyfriend, Jason, and he was the obsessive type, he was constantly beating her, and her dad was always beating her over the littlest things like:

"But, Dad, I swear, I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, cleaned out the kittens litter box, swept and mopped the kitchen and the bathroom floor, cleaned my room and vacuumed. And don't forget I dusted, 'cause you saw me do that,"

"Don't get smart with me young lady," said Jennifer's father slapping her across the face knocking her to the ground. "Oh it didn't hurt get up and go clean the study before I give you something to cry about."

Jennifer just had to get out of there she really didn't care who she was leaving behind. Well she had a couple of friends who she cared about, like Stephanie and Savannah but that was about it.

Jennifer finally gained strength to get up from her position on the floor where she layed while her dad beat her. She went and sat on the side of her bed, picked up the phone and dialed a well known number.

"555-9974," whispered Jennifer.

"Hello," said a voice that sounded like they had just woken up.

"Hello. Grandma?? It's me Jennifer.."
