~ The Victory Of Calvary ~
He carried that cross upon His
back,
While people mocked and scorned;
His
forehead dripped of precious blood;
From the
piercing of the thorns.
He knew the price He had to
pay,
On the mount of Golgotha that very day.
He
bore that cross; and hung there on,
While people
laughed and jeered;
If thou be King, as thou
proclaim;
Come down now Jesus,save thy name!
The
torment,the agony; unbelievable pain;
Would any
among us;
Know that humiliation or shame;
Or
hang on a cross,
To bear the sins; of all souls
that were lost.
None would of course,
But my
Jesus did; He died for me,
Nailed to that cross on
Calvary.
He might have cried, "Oh, Father,
I care not anymore;
They jeer and laugh and torture
me,
And nail my body to this tree.
I care not any longer;
If their souls should ere' be free!"
But
praise God for His endurance,
His mercy and His
love;
His plan of souls salvation;
We've now a
home above.
We've been redeemed;
By that blood He shed,
His precious body;
Raised from the
dead.
I praise Him for His life He gave;
The
eternal victory,
Won over the grave.
For caring
for someone like me;
By hanging there on
Calvary.
To know I've been so saved by grace;
And soon shall look upon His face.
I love you

And pray all shall see;
The wonderous victory of Calvary!
