 How We Still Miss You

Real tears;
Are not those that fall from the eyes,
And cover the face;
But those that fall from the heart,
And cover the soul.

Grandma's Bible

It is worn and old,
The pages are bent and rolled.
But I remember it still;
And that it sat upon her window sill.
She reads it every night before going to bed,
I'll bet every single page she has read.
I remember her reading it to me,
Until it was so dark we could no longer see.
I wonder how many little fingers,
Across it's scriptures did linger?
Over it, how many tears were shed,
And how many couples were wed?
My Grandma it reminds me of,
Because to me;
They both mean love.

___ Grandma ___
As I sit and look at your Bible,
All tattered and torn;
The corners are missing,
So "lovingly" worn.
Patched and repaired,
Not willing to let go;
Where comfort and love
From it's words gently flow.
I picture in my mind's retreat
The family gathered bout' your feet,
To hear your gentle voice read from its pages;
It's Timeless Grandma,
Throughout The Ages.
You ask Your Father,
Will I see my children grown?
And will they too, use their Bible
As the center of their home?
Lord please;
Bless my family for generations to come,
For yet my children's children;
Their father's and their son's.
May Your words of wisdom
Love, faith and grace;
Held here within "The Book,"
Be applied to their lives
In their hearts wee hidden nooks.
May these my children and children's children,
Find the answers written within;
And know the price that was paid for each and every sin.
May each record the spiritual lessons,
Upon these written pages;
Their Timeless Lord ___
Throughout The Ages ___
Now I see you bow your head in prayer
And place your children in His care.
With your old worn companion;
In your now aging hand;
Your finger adorned with my Grandpa's wedding band,
You close your eyes
And close the pages,
Just for one more day.
With this;
My Grandma's loving hand,
Lays her worn "Book Of Love,"
On her corner night stand.
Holding Gods word
In her heart so tight,
Peace be with you;
"Dear Grandma"
Till Mornings "Son"light.

Happy is the home,
Where Jesus' name,
Is sweet to every ear.
Where children learn to read "The Book;"
Taught by special "Grandma's"
Who hold Him dear.

Sharing "Grandma's Letter"
And A Daughter's Tribute

I wanted to dedicate this "Family" page,
To one of the neatest gals I know.
She is not only a special friend;
But my cousin.
(: "We are "Family" :)
Am I doubly blessed or what?
Luvya Deb!
Thanks for the awesome picture;
Of Grandma's well used Bible.
And a lot of special memories we've shared,
With the "Journey Of Our Hearts!"
This page was meant not only to bring honor to our Grandma,
For her faith in God;
But most of all to bring honor and glory
To our Lord of Lords, and His Holy Word.
And to all Grandma's everywhere,
Who so lovingly hold onto their faith;
Are led by His word,
And ever so faithfully,
Refuse to let go;
Of one single family member,
With her love and prayers.
