And God shall wipe away all tears
From their eyes ...
And there shall be no more death ...
Neither sorrow ...
Nor crying ...
Neither shall there be
Any more pain ...
For the former things
Are passed away.
Revelations 21:4

Today; Like most any other days,
To the many people about
To my brother,
My sisters,
And I:
Is one we could have wished be without.

November 24, of 1959, a bright light was dimmed,
Our most loved  Mother,
By all four;
Went above to live with "Him".

As she drew near her ending hour,
Her faith grew stronger,
Like some gifted power.†

Her eyes though weak,
Held their sparkling warm glow
As if to say...
The time has come my children;
Now with "Him" I must go.

Tears; she had none, as if she knew;
He above would take her hand,
Dispose of the pain her body endowed;
And take her above,
Where it was not allowed.

For forty three years,
To us her love she gave;
Who could only hope, to ever be so brave.

For near sixteen years, I knew her love,
For five more;
It has been sent down from above.

Five years from today,
Her body did lay;
So peaceful at rest,
Her pain gone away.

The tears were shed,
The days seemed like night;
The sun to us, didn't shine nearly so bright.

The comforting words
The presents,
The flowers;
Seemed like a dream, for hours and hours.

Then came the time her body be laid,
The time set aside;
For last respects to be paid.

You approach her body,
So quiet...So still...
You touch her hand,
And kiss her cheek;
I'm sorry Mother;
I'm acting so weak.

You look so hard and study her face,
While hopelessly wishing...
For one final embrace.

Your eyes full of tears,
Your heart feels so cold;
Your body is trembling,
It's so hard to be bold.

Now the time has come to turn away,
For in the ground she soon shall lay.
You look to the heavens and through your tears,
Say...Thank you "Father"
For her forty three years.

Now as we look to the heavens above,
We know she is surrounded;
By "His Precious Love".

Her pain is no more, never more to be;
Since "God" has chose her to dwell with "He".

A day will come at heavens gate,
When we will be barely able to wait.
We'll enter all four; and be able to see,
A beautiful image through this heavenly door;
Before us will stand...
My Mother and "He"...
Then together we'll enter...
To part never more...

My Brother...

           My Sisters...

                    And Me!...

"God's Garden"

God looked around his garden ~"Mom"
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never,
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered, "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

A Mothers Walk
...Excerpt...

And We The Children Said,
"You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates.
They stood and watched her as she went on alone.
  The gates closed after her.
  The children said, "We cannot see her, but she is still with us.
  A mother like ours is more than a memory.
  She is a living presence."
Our mother is always with us.
  She's the whisper of the leaves as we walk down the street.
  She's the smell of bleach in our freshly laundered socks.
  She's the cool hand on our brow when we're not feeling well.
Our Mother lives inside our laughter.
  She's crystallized in every tear drop we shed.
She's the place we came from ... our first home.
  She's the map we follow with every step we take.
She's our first love and our first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate us from her ...
      Not time ...
           Not space ...
               Not even death!...

In Our Heart

"We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that, too.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part,
God has you in His keeping,
   We have you in our heart."
