~ The Friend I Made Today ~
Let me tell you of the friend I made
today;
They call His name Jesus
He lived many,
many years ago
And I actually thought He had
died
Just a man I'd never know.
But today this
man paid a visit to me
To assure me of His
reality.
That He lives today
As He did
then.
Praise God He now lives even closer
Because He dwells within.
Donna...It's "Me"...I'm right
here
It's "Jesus"...your friend
I've always been near.
"I love you"...More than you'll ever
understand,
I offer you salvation child
I offer
you my hand.
I want you to love me
As I do
you
And on my knees I died
And my life became
anew.
Now it's not always easy
All my wrongs
still aren't right
But now I have Jesus
To help
with the fight.
I still often feel hurt
I'm not
prone from all pain
But I honestly know
That my
lifes not the same.
This friend of mine
I made
that day
Is the one and only...
~ Jesus
