TINY HANDS

Tiny hands__
Outstretched in the manger
Emitting the "Father's" love
To the misfit, To the stranger
Incredible gift
That our "Father" has given us
Miserable sojourners..
Timeless,
Unreserved,
Silent,
Serene.
How can we take it all in.

Grown hands__
Teaching the crowds,
Feeding the five thousand,
Casting out demons,
Powers beyond reason.
Healing the sick,
Raising the dead,
Pure in this love
From the "Father" above.
Thankless,
Friendless,
Forgiving,
Beseeching.
All knowing they came,
To be rejected
By the same.
There on the cross
Nails driven in,
Bleeding hands;__
They became
For all eternity's sins.
The gift now complete,
"His" loving hands
Kindly entreat,
Both mighty and meek.
From the cradle..
From the cross..†
In the stable..
At such a cost.

Tiny hands__
Outstretched in the manger
Have kept my poor life
Though I was a stranger.
Secure in their keeping
Their love never ceasing
Through strengths and failures,
Through losses and gains,
Accept now my humble gratitude
My life is "Yours" in servitude.
