Patricia Thorpe, Hovea Music Press musicologist


Patricia Thorpe holds degrees in both History and Music from the University of Western Australia. Her Honours thesis, The Life and Music of Meta Overman, was presented in 1988.

An accomplished pianist, she has, in recent years, undertaken intensive studies with eminent British pianist Ronald Smith. In 1989 she assisted Sir Frank Callaway in establishing the Callaway International Resource Centre for Music Education (CIRCME) within the School of Music, UWA, and in 1995 graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Western Australia.
