Hello I'm the Captain of the IKV_Harbinger

   I am a Klingon Marine Thought-General, Kolar epetai-Rasmehlier, (in
Klingon, that is). Actually, my name is Earl D. Jones, and I'm an
old Trekkie. I'm one of the oldest Trekkies, in this organization.
It all started with a membership to a group called: The Klingon
 Assualt Group or KAG.

I've favored the Klingons, since the first appearance of Kang, in
the original series. I always pictured myself as a nasty old Klingon
 Captain.

I was, also, the Imperial Marine Commander, of KAG's Cold Terror
Fleet, and one of the very few Klingon Marines, in KAG, to command
 a naval vessel.

I am now, the overall military commander of my own organization,
the Broken Lands Alliance. My ship, the IKV Harbinger, which set the
standard, in KAG, for some years, is now the flagship of a new
Klingon based empire. However, the Broken Lands Alliance, is not
just Klingons. Although the ruling body, IS Klingon, as is the major
portion of the membership. Many warriors of other species share our
space. So, if you're inclined to be stubborn, aggressive and the
general Warrior type, maybe you would prefer to join the Imperial
Broken Lands Forces. Both Naval and Marine branches are available.

On this ship, no one gets a free ride. My marines are an integral
part of the ship. They don't even wear standard marine browns. My
marines form the operational nucleus of what was once called the
Special Operations Branch, and their uniform is black and gold. I
still maintain that S.O.B. title, and fully intend to keep it. All
the marines, aboard my ship will be a part of it. Basically, that
means when no one else can handle it, they call us. Our motto is:
"chargh Hegh ghap". The translation is: "Conquer or Die". We have
yet to be beaten, in a personal challenge. When that day comes. My
1st Officer, will take Command, for I will have brought disgrace on
 my ship and my line.

To borrow an old addage, "You've seen the rest, now join the best".
That would be BLA, and in BLA, that would be Central Fleet, in the
Central Fleet, that would be Alpha Quadrant, and in Alpha Quadrant,
 that would be IKV Harbinger.

                                 Qapla'!

Job Description

For those of you who have no idea what is entailed in the duties
of an overall military commander, his job is to see to the efficient
running of all aspects of all the branches of a country's or
empire's millitary forces. He is like unto the Captain of an ungodly
 big ship.

For those of you who have no real idea, what the Captain's job
actually is, I will give descriptions of not only my job, but every
position on the ship. The descriptions will be listed with each
officer's page, for that particular position. I will list both the
Fantasy version, and then the real version, as it works on this ship.

First, my own job: The Captain of any Klingon ship, is responsible
for the ship, and the crew, and the actions of them all. Therefore,
he or she must know the ship and each crewmember's job, so that he
can take full advantage of the combined whole, and use it to it's
fullest capabilities. The better the captain knows his crew, the
better he or she will know how to get the most out of them. The
Captain is also responsible TO his ship and crew, and must always
consider their well being, even before his or her own, because
without a crew, or a ship, a Captain is just another common person.

The reality of this position is no so different from the fantasy.
It's like being the boss of a small company or business. While in the
uniform, you are the ultimate law aboard the ship. Just remember,
when the uniform comes off, if you still have your crew's loyalty,
then you're doing it right. Set the example. Get and hold the respect
of your crew and you will set records, win honors and glory. Your
 business will succeed.

*RED ALLERT!***RED ALLERT!***RED ALLERT!***RED ALLERT!*

ATTENTION, All Officers and Crew, of the IKV Harbinger!

     This is your Captain speaking!

Greetings, fellow BLA members! The time has come, to forget the
problems that we left in other organizations, and concentrate on the
situations that confront us now. Since our new beginnings, as BLA,
there have been many advances made and progress continues at the
unprecidented rate that I would normally expect, from such high
caliber officers as we have.

The work in both Central and Western Fleets, with the Civilian
Corps, progressives as do many other projects. Ranks and Awards, even
those left over from other organizations, are being caught up with,
even as I speak; Recruiting goes well, and should continue; Special
projects continue to progress at speed. Your's Truely, is a happy
Thought-General. There have been minor stumbling blocks, but none that
weren't easily shattered by simple communications and the willingness
to be understanding. That simple proceedure will continue to be the
Rule, not the exception. That is my promise to you. Copy and feel free
to wave this statement under my nose, whenever you think necessary.

I will be the first to admit that I am not infallable. That is
why this organization is setup with a ruling Tribunal. However, there
will, undoubtedly, be situations where I will make certain demands,
and will be unswerving in them. The reasons for said demands have been
the results of many years of practice, in dealing with certain situations, and I WILL expect those few demands to be met and followed
without hesitation and without question. Explainations wil be made
when time allows, afterwards. If time permits, explainations will be
made, in advance.

Central Fleet's Civilian Liason Officer, and Captain of the Klinshari, better know as "The Major", is progresing so well, at his
first project, that he has taken on a second one, to further shake up
Star Trek Fandom, in general. I have been in contact with him,
recently, and discussed said project plans, in some depth. The Major
seems not to consider anything, much, that isn't bound to cause
tremors, throughout the known universe. I'm glad he's on our side.

For now, the standing order is: All those who are internet
capable, will start and continue, periodically monitoring this page.
Those who donot have internet capability, will please acquire it, at
the first oportunity. At the very least, each Ship, should have at
least one internet connection. Surely, with the recruitment of crew-
members, one can be found that has such capability, and is willing to
use it, in service to his/her ship or station, or village, city, etc.
In very short order, internet communications are going to become an
absolute necessity. Find a computer, get an account, designate a crew-
member as webmaster, initiate a ship site, for your group, and send me
the address. Trust me, you'll love the results.

Thought-General Kolar epetai-Rasmehlier...
