There is seldom more than one Intelligence Officer aboard any
Klingon ship. Theoretically, the Imperial Intelligence Offiicer is
in reallity, a government spy. This Officer can hold any rank or
position, preferrably one fairly high so that they are privy to most
of the information which comes and goes throughout the ship. They
are to report any subversive talk and activity to the Emperor. This
is also referred to as "Special Communications". They usually monitor
all departments from a secret room, by remote camera and listening
devices. They may also act on behalf of the ship's CO by associating
with other groups and reporting on their plans when challenged, so
as to give your ship an edge. They may also report any mutinous or
subversive crew activity to the Captain.
