Welcome to the Torpedo Bay
Guess what? All of a sudden, we now have not one, but two
Weapons Officers! Those of you who have been here awhile, will
remember Rob Fishgesser, (hope I spelled it right). Rob,who has been
in several capacities, has now opted for the Chief Weapons Officer's
slot. Naval bu' K'large Tai-Keaghlar, is our new CWO. Since most of
his work will be taken up, as Tactical Officer, his new XO, marine bu,
Qoreq Rasmehlier, will assume the duties of Armory Master. Incidently,
bu' Qoreq Rasmehlier, is the 17 year old son, of our new Chief
Engineer, bu'a' Qololth tai-Rasmehlier. His real name is Eric Shipman,
and he is like a younger version of his father. They're both built like a
couple of healthy bears, (Tanis, he's your size, plus a bit). It seems
that our ship's personal weapons locker may have to be expanded
soon.
Job Description
Klingons and weapons go hand in hand. Almost any Klingon can
display a dozen different weapons on his or her person, at any time.
Half the Klingon uniform is some form of weapon. It is the Weapon
Officer's job to see that all weapons are secured and as fan-proof,
as possible. Many clubs are restricted from even carrying their
weapons or even something resembling a weapon. Each event usually
has it's own rules. My standard is that no weapon is allowed, which
is capable of firing a projectile, and all bladed weapons must be
"Peace Tied" and pole weapons must be sheathed. Anyone caught
menacing someone else with anything resembling a real weapon, even in
play, will be ejected from the event, or will have said weapon
confiscated for the duration of said event. It is the Weapon
Officer's job to locate and inspect all weapons for proper display
and handling.
