MEMORIES OF THE NIGHT

By: Lawrence Langman

I lay alone at nights, I'm dreaming.
Reflections of the way I'm feeling.

Visions dance throughout my head.
At times I'm living, times I'm dead.

I've played a hero, fighting crime.
And then a ruler of changing times.

I walked alone in a desert barren.
I've raised from the grave, for people I'm scarin'.

The dreams I like best to recall.
Are the ones of you most of all.

For the memories of you I like to savor.
In hopes and dreams may they last forever.

BOTH ENDS OF THE CANDLE

By: Lawrence Langman

Now we were young and so in love,
the way that life should be.
All I want is one long night,
for her eyes to set me free.
Oh I've dreamed about you every night,
twenty years gone past.
Who'd have thought those memories
were strong enough to last.
But deep inside, and everyday,
this feeling just goes on.
I need to fill this enptiness of this love
that has been gone....I must move on.
Oh, fire burns at both ends of this candle.
In the night it burns the scenery in my mind.
For the only love I've had was lost to the past,
leaving all the good days behind.
Girl I'm coming back for you,
to hear you say I do,
and show everyone...at last!
My friends all tell me let her go,
for that was history.
I don't know if I can go on
without her next to me.
She's the missing piece to a puzzle.
The missing piece that makes my life complete.
That's what she is to me.

IT'S HARD TO SAY I'M SORRY

By: Lawrence Langman

I'm trying to say I'm sorry, but the words just come out wrong.
To show you that I love you, I'm putting this into song.
I'm sorry for the hurt I caused, and not believing what you said.
So far my life has given me nothing but sorrow and pain.
My love for you grows stronger each day.
Where it will lead is really hard to say.
I would like to hold you in my arms through eternity.
For the rest of the world to watch true love the way it's supposed to be.
You're my guiding angel way up in the sky.
Just being with you and touching you is my natural high.
Now if my feelings inside my heart stay the same as they do,
Somewhere down the road I'll be asking to marry you.
