"LET'S GET FIRED UP!! UP, UP!! LET'S GET FIRED UP!! UP, UP!!" Star screamed from the top of her lungs. After the cheer, the girls did flips and yelled their schools spirit. Star couldn't keep her mind off of A.J.. I wonder where he is? she thought. All the girls got out into the middle of the football field. Then the music began. "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!" The annoucer on the Jock Jams tape shouted. All the girls got into the circle where they would began to tumble and dance. The dance was awesome! Star had to smile about that. She was also thinking about that rough boy, that she admired so much, and that everyone disappoved of. Oh God, please let him be at the dance tonight! she silently prayed. After the football game, all the cheerleaders went to the locker rooms to chance into their clothes that they would wear to the dance. Star was at her locker putting on her black shimmi skirt and top when Jenny walked up to her. "Forget him being their tonight girl, he's probably off screwing some chick, and does'nt even think about you!" she said. That comment made Star alittle sad. Maybe she's right, he doesn't think about me, we are just friends, and I just have this crush on him. I'm not going to run after him! she thought. "Well, maybe you are right girl. I'm just going to go into that gym tonight and dance with boy I want!" she said. "That's my best friend that I know!" Jenny said excitedly. "Well, come on!! It's time for me to break some hearts!!" Star said. "Alright!! Now you're talking girl!!" she said grabbing my arm and leading me into the gym.

*At the Dance*

Star, Jenny, Kevin, Howie, Nick, and Brian walked into the gym together. The music was so loud that Star could barely hear Jenny and the others say they were going to get some punch. Star just stood there for a minute taking in the scene in the gym. The dance floor was packed with couples dancing to "Tootsie Roll" (I had to make up somthing). There were a couple of cheerleaders over in the corner talking to each other. Probably the usual gossip. Snobs! she thought smiling to herself. The DJ was dancing to the song being played. He looked like a dork on drugs. Oh my God, somebody shoot him!! she thought smiling to herself again. She was getting board already, she was ready to dance and if it ment dancing by herself, so be it! She walked over in the middle of the dance floor and started dancing to the beat of the music. Everybody stopped and stared at her, but she didn't mind. Let these people stare at me, I don't care. she thought. Jenny came running over to her. "I can't believe he came girl!!" she shouted over the music and pointing to who just walked in.
